Spotting at ovulation - progesterone problem?

Hi. I recently had a gynae / fertility scan and all was fine - but he asked me if I spot at ovulation and I do. He said this is something to do with my progesterone levels and he is concerned they may drop too quickly meaning I may not be able to stay pregnant once I conceive?
I have one DS who is 7 and dont remember my situation then re spotting - but was wondering if anyone else spots every month in the middle of their cycle and conceiving as been an issue? The good thing is I am ovulating but he has made me panic!

Hello!

I spot most months around the time of ovulation or just before. I have had numerous scans and different stages of my cycle and there are no obvious issues. My progesterone levels are good so I am ovulating. No one has said to me what the dr has said to you. Been ttc for just over a year but my do had a reversal so assuming that is why it is taking us a while. Try not to stress!

Hm that sounds like an odd comment tbh! Spotting at ovulation is common - what is usually deemed to be a progesterone problem is if you spot during the luteal phase?
