Which one is correct?

I would say the negative if your using cheap strip tests. They notoriously show false faint positives.

Fressia123 · 19/11/2020 07:31

That's the faint positive

You know what you’re about to be told!

Get a...(I’ll let you fill in the rest).

Fressia123 · 19/11/2020 07:49

Is it a first response?

OP posts:
Wanderlust2020 · 19/11/2020 08:09

Yes I've had loads of false faint positives on those when I was ttc. Honestly get a frer. Then you will have your answer.

Bouncytree · 19/11/2020 08:28

@Fressia123hie confusing, very stressful for you.

It could be to do with the concentration of urine, though if FMU that should be quite strong.

Definitely need another test to confirm. A FRER and make sure you don’t drink too much and hold your wee a few hours before.

Fressia123 · 19/11/2020 10:02

2 faint positives and one negative (negative was a clear blue).

OP posts:
Bouncytree · 19/11/2020 18:56

@Fressia123 is that 2 more faint positives? We’re they on the same strips?

Also How many days post ovulation are you and/or when is your period due?

Fressia123 · 19/11/2020 20:32

No, they were different manufacturers. I have no idea how many DPO but I'm on cycle day 31 of 27/28

OP posts:
Bouncytree · 19/11/2020 20:56

@Fressia123 then I would say the positives are positives!

False positives are very rare - It is much much more common to get false negatives which I think is the CB problem. Read this from the nhs

www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/pregnancy/how-accurate-are-home-pregnancy-tests/

if the tests you are using are not the type that @Wanderlust2020 used then I think....a missed period and 2 positive tests means pregnancy to me!

thecakebadge · 19/11/2020 21:04

If you’re on day 31 of a 27 day cycle then unless you ovulated much later than usual, if you were pregnant you’d expect a fairly strong positive by now. I found the cheap strips to be the most accurate though.

LividLaughLurve · 19/11/2020 21:05

Ohhhhh your negative was a Clear Blue.

Was it a digital? They’re WAY less sensitive than other tests. Right pile of shite but people think they’re better because they’re branded.

Get a FRER.

Fressia123 · 20/11/2020 06:39

The CB was the early detection one.

OP posts:
PurBal · 20/11/2020 06:57

Get a FRER. There's a reason people recommend them.

Fressia123 · 20/11/2020 07:03

There weren't any on Sainsbury's nor Asda nor the local pharmacy.

OP posts:
Bouncytree · 22/11/2020 23:05

How did you get on @Fressia123?

Take it from someone who has pissed on THOUSANDS of tests. Loads of them throw up very faint lines that you will only notice if you're inspecting them for hours with the torch of your phone. Yes false positives are rare- but proper positives with two strong lines. Not a line that's basically invisible to the human eye.

Fressia123 · 23/11/2020 14:40

I ended up having my period.
