@Bells20 SO EXCITING!! I can defo see a line!!! 😊 😊 😊

GreenApplesYo · 02/12/2020 12:28

@bells20 I kept feeling like AF would come as well. I think @AMS19 was the same? I had very mild cramps and that kind of achy vagina feeling (sorry tmi) I associate with getting AF, but it never arrived. So don't worry too much if it feels like it's coming, I think that's normal.

Bells20 · 02/12/2020 12:33

@GreenApplesYo that's so reassuring thank you, yes that's the feeling I have. Feel like I have to keep going to the loo to check if my bleeding. I. So glad you ladies are a few weeks ahead I feel like I'm going to have a lot of questions haha

@Foxl2222 just saw your message about the FRER, if it helps I took one yesterday and it was stark white. So much can change in a day!

@DrS44 @Dex1521 @jessi60 @PowerOfFlowers @positivitytree2020 and anyone else I might have missed how are you all doing today?

GreenApplesYo · 02/12/2020 13:00

@bells20 did you say you'll go for an early scan? I have just booked one for Sunday as my NHS one isn't until the 4th Jan and I decided I couldn't handle another month not knowing if it's all OK in there haha. I keep getting a pain in my left side as well which the midwife said sounds like ligament pain...but even though it hasn't got worse I still can't help worrying about it. Really hope the scan is OK

Bells20 · 02/12/2020 13:19

@GreenApplesYo really hope your scan goes well! I definitely think I'd be the same and have a scan if I was at all worried! I had thought about having an early scan in the couple of days before Christmas, if all goes well I'd be 7 weeks then which google tells me is enough time to see a heartbeat. I feel like if I'm going to tell my family about it I'd like to be relatively sure that there's actually something growing in there! Do you think that's a good idea?

Even just typing that I feel so anxious as I don't want to jinx anything!

GreenApplesYo · 02/12/2020 13:29

@bells20 yeh I think a scan around 7wks is a good idea? I'd want a scan before telling people. I was thinking I'd wait for the 12wk scan and not have a private one, as 12wks is when the risk of miscarriage goes down loads anyway... But I'm finding despite the sore boobs and nausea it's hard to believe that there's actually a baby there! It's mainly to stop me worrying about the niggling pain though. I really think there should be an 7-8wk scan on the NHS.

Bells20 · 02/12/2020 13:37

@GreenApplesYo good to hear that, I thought maybe I was being over anxious about an early scan but maybe it's fine to do that! I would ideally wait until 12 weeks but there's no chance anyone would believe I just wasn't drinking at Christmas haha I feel like lots of people will have the same problem. Fortunately I won't have this problem with friends or work because of covid! Agree an early scan or some kind of medical confirmation as standard in the NHS would be great!

Actually speaking of, have you or @AMS19 thought about the covid vaccine? I'm of the understanding that it won't be given to pregnant women as it hasn't been tested on them. I'm NHS staff so there would be an expectation for me to have it, I'm thinking I might have to tell work earlier than I would like to as well. I'm definitely getting ahead of myself here I think. I'll worry about it again later when I actually have to think about it haha

AMS19 · 02/12/2020 13:42

Ooh @GreenApplesYo that is super exciting!! How far gone will you be Sunday? I think it is so worth the money for reassurance. I'm really intrigued as to what the midwife says tomorrow about the bleed and whether they will scan again because of it. Google seems to say it should be monitored but they sonographer said it was only a small bleed so not sure what they will do. I have a private scan on Monday 21st though so at least that is something

@Bells20 I would definitely do one jsut before Xmas. You'll definitely be able to see a heartbeat at 7 weeks and I read somewhere once you've seen a heartbeat your chances of miscarriage are less than 10% so would make you feel loads better i think. So what is your LMP date (first day of your last period)? That can then be used to work out your due date! Eeeeek

OP posts:
AMS19 · 02/12/2020 13:44

@Bells20 yeah im definitely not having it. But I'm lucky in that I work from home at the moment and will be until at least strong next year, so am totally protected! If all works out with this bean, I might not even really go back to the office much before mat leave!

OP posts:
DrS44 · 02/12/2020 14:50

@Bells20 Awww keep us posted!! Ya I'm good been super busy at work and just temping keeping an eye on my LH levels! I'm about CD 5/6 and I'm already seeing good lines on my OPKs, nothing major but coming out around .2/.3 which I'm happy about! It's my first proper cycle so I'm hoping I ovulate at a normal time, all the apps are guessing different dates because of my last cycle! So who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ gonna keep DTD every second day!

By the way everyone, I watched this YouTube video my some American woman Dr Aimee and she looked at pressed and sperm- in their experiment it killed the sperm and made them reallllyyy slow! I'm actually shook 😅 not using it again! Although I heard someone said it should be in your body for 30/45 mins before hand to get to the right temp for it to work?! But fuk that I'm not taking my chances any more 🤣🤣 xxx

GreenApplesYo · 02/12/2020 15:00

@bells20 ahh I didn't realise it isn't recommended for pregnant women, but that makes sense. Hopefully I'll manage to avoid covid. I did get the flu vaccine at my booking in. It's pretty rural here, cases aren't that high. Are you OK with telling your manager/hr? I am returning to work next Tues, I was just thinking I might email my manager and let her know I'm pregnant. Just in case something comes up, like I have to leave early or call in sick, I'd rather she knew rather than having to make something up. She's really good, I'm sure she'd be very discreet.

@AMS19 hehe I'm very excited and a little nervous for Sunday!

For some reason I was thinking I shouldn't worry and just wait for the 12wk scan. But actually it's my choice - worst case scenario is that we find out earlier if there's a problem, best (and most likely) scenario is we get to see our healthy baby.

Bells20 · 02/12/2020 17:14

@AMS19 I'm having to count from my withdrawal bleed which started 8th November so that was Cd1 for me. I had. I idea about that miscarriage stat, that's very reassuring!

@DrS44 interesting about preseed.. I did use that once this month during dtd, obviously won't know whether or not I conceived in that particular occasion though. DTD every other day sounds like a great plan, hope that peak come around soon and you can get going again 🤞🏻

@GreenApplesYo I think I would tell my manager actually, you're right about sickness and stuff. Better for them to know rather than keep making stuff up. I'm definitely giving it a few. Lee weeks before telling anyone else though, still doesn't feel real! Hope going back to work goes ok!

PowerOfFlowers · 02/12/2020 17:21

Lovely news to wake up to this morning @Bells20 😀 And so happy all is ok for you yesterday @AMS19 - tiny bean!! 😆

I'm ok thanks, not much to tell over here - 5dpo and temp is still high. Hoping it stays high. Attatched a picture off Premom as we all love a graph and poas here 😄 Got 9 days until AF is supposed to arrive (boo hiss!) I tested 2dpo last cycle (lolz!) - I've managed not to do that this time!! Goong to wait another 9 days...

AMS19 · 02/12/2020 17:51

@Bells20 so I think the NHS will use that to date you until your 12 week scan. What date do you have down as ovulation? Sounds about right though. So due mid August?

@PowerOfFlowers oh lovely temps there! Well done body 👏👏👏 testing at 2DPO is actually really funny! 11DPO onwards is a good time I think

OP posts:
Bells20 · 02/12/2020 18:11

@PowerOfFlowers thank you! Those temps look great. I surprised myself by waiting until 7dpo to test this time. Of course it was a BFN on that occasion haha. Fingers crossed for you!!

@AMS19 yes I think so, the apps have me at 3+5 with ovulation on 21st November and due date 15th August 😬😬

AMS19 · 02/12/2020 18:12

@Bells20 as long as everything goes to plan we are due 3 weeks apart and live right near each other! Perfect ❤❤

OP posts:
Bells20 · 02/12/2020 18:21

@AMS19 yes! I'd forgotten about that! Fingers tightly crossed all goes well for both of us and hopefully there will be some mat leave lunches at the o2 in the future!!

PowerOfFlowers · 02/12/2020 18:28

Awww @AMS19 and @Bells20 I want to come on mat leave lunches at the o2 too!! #fomo 🤞🏻 for a bfp so I can come too! 😆

AMS19 · 02/12/2020 18:32

Ah yes @PowerOfFlowers you're London too right? Yes please get your BFP now so we can all mat leave lunch our way through the end of 2021!!

I am @AMS19 - Bermondsey! 😀

AMS19 · 02/12/2020 18:45

@PowerOfFlowers oh wow so the right side of London too as well! I used to live in canary wharf and there are loads of great bars and restaurants around there that would be super easy for all 3 of us to get to! I can jump on the clipper with the baby...

OP posts:
Foxl2222 · 02/12/2020 18:47

@PowerOfFlowers @AMS19 @Bells20 me too!! East London here 🙈 just need to get the bfp now!
So exciting reading about everyone's scans! 😁

Emmgrem · 02/12/2020 18:54

Hi ladies,
Wow so much to catch up on!

Firstly @Bells20 ohmigosh how exciting! Keep testing and updating us! 🤞❤️🎉 Are you on your first proper cycle after withdrawal bleed?

@Dex1521 Sorry to hear about AF. I know what you mean. The first one is such a b*tch! But on the plus side, new cycle and easier tracking and means we’re getting back to normal post-pill!
I think we all feel the same regarding having a fear of infertility! There just seems like more that can go wrong than right, but perhaps likely to hear more of the bad where we’re on a forum 🤷🏻‍♀️

@positivitytree2020 So do your temps have to keep increasing in pregnancy then? I thought they just had to stay above the cover line? I’m still learning! I love studying other people’s charts! Bells20 looked like she had a steady dip on hers and still got a BFP 🤞

@jessi60 with your two different peaks, what did FF confirm as your O date? If you’re temping?

@PowerOfFlowers Thank you for the reassurance about AF and moods lovely! That’s a great tip about coping strategy with DH.

@AMS19 so lovely to see your scan and hear how you’re getting on. So is a private one too? I’m guessing the nhs don’t pay for one until 12 weeks which seems crazy late. Fingers crossed all is ok keep us updated!

As for me, I’m CD8 here after my crazy short cycle and fingers crossed this time is more normal as I haven’t had any early ovulation signs yet so hope that means a more normal length cycle this month.
My next worry is that my temps never really went down during AF, and as you can see the first 8 days they’ve been up and down loads but generally they are really high, like LP high don’t you think ?? Not what should be happening for pre-ov temps? I take at 8am every morning when my alarm goes off, before my head lifts off the pillow. (See my chart so far this month and last month)

Loving the enthusiasm for mat leave lunches! All are welcome haha lots more BFPs please 🤞

Bells20 · 02/12/2020 19:01

@Emmgrem I'm sure your chart will even itself out. I don't know what my chart was doing tbh, I was using the compare my chart feature on FF last night and all the pregnancy ones were high and stayed high so I was convinced I wouldn't get a BFP. I've been sleeping really badly the last few nights though, definitely no more than 3 consecutive hours so that probably affected my temps.

And yes this was my first cycle post withdrawal bleed! Really surprised by how quickly it happened and I feel so lucky!
