Anyone else taking clomid?

Hi, I’ve just been prescribed clomid through the fertility clinic and wanted to hear about other people’s experiences with it. I have been told to take it day 2-6. Do you take it in the morning or evening?

Hi you can take it whenever you want. As long as its the same time each day.

I take it at night.... Less symptoms x

Thanks @AMMB do you get symptoms with taking it? If so do they only last whilst taking it and then you are ok rest of your cycle?

I found my symptoms disappeared soon after I finished the course for that month

For me the main one was hot flushes, I would wake frequently throughout the night and was so hot and sweaty! They drove me mad I'm not going to lie.
I was also quite irritable the whole 6 months of taking them much to my dps delight 🤣 also ovulation was painful, never noticed it before clomid

Hi yes I also was irritable, weird dreams, would wake through the night, pee more and ovulation pains more so in the lefthand side. Actually another thing was sometimes I couldn't string a sentence together 😂🤣

I took them 3 - 7? I think.

I got pregnant on my first month. I had the most HORRIFIC HORRIFIC hot sweats that would literally hit me so hard at least 4/5 times a day.... I ovulated early on day 9!

The hot sweats stayed with me all the way until I got my BFP and then it stopped. Also had a mix of other symptoms pre BFP

Good luck 💙 I said to my partner that I would REALLY need to think about whether I wanted to take this pill again if it hadn't of worked.

Have to say thanks to clomid though I'm 9 weeks 4 days

@Northernlass101 how many dpo did you get bfp??
I ovulated early also. X

I got my BFP the day my period was supposed to start had my period on the 10th sept and BFP on the 9th October but I had a BFN 2 days before on a FRER!!!

not sure how many DPO it is.

I also took clomid at night

I'm starting on my next cycle and was told to take them days 1-5, I wonder why..

Taken day 2-6 in the morning. Successful on 2nd attempt no ovulation previous to taking them so worked brilliantly for me only side effects I had were hot flushes. I now have a 7 and 2 year old thanks to clomid!

On my 2nd cycle first didn't get pregnant but not sure if I took it on right day as had a couple of days of spotting before my period started properly and my fertility monitor didn't get a peak. Have been taken it at night.

HMMMM!!! Reason I'm on clomid is because I never had regular periods so Im not sure when it's due. I ovulated got peak CD 10/11 and still no period. Had two BFN on FRER. If did ovulate period should have been here by now!? 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
Waiting on doctor call back with day 21 results.

@BriocheBuns I have irregular cycles and have been trying to conceive now for 14months and nothing is happening. My cycles range from 36-69+days.

@Northernlass101 I’m very nervous about taking clomid as a lot of people say the side effects are so bad. Do you normally suffer with your cycles?

@Essexgirlupnorth did you start yours whilst you were spotting or 2nd day of full flow?

@doublemix other than hot flushes were you ok? A lot of people say take at night but did you find it better in the mornings?

@AMMB sounds like we are similar with our irregular cycles. Do you temp at all?

@Suki2020 no I don't temp. I've been using flo app and fertility friend and clear blue opk. Only used the opk last cycle.
I'd recommend taking the clomid at night x
