Really tedious and over asked questions (old timers look away!)

1. Do the ebay cheapo tests really work?

2. Is an evaporation line at 5mins common with them?

1. i presume so as it is pretty basic chemistry.

2. i have had evap lines with some. if the line is not the same colour as the control line then it is probably evap.

Ah ok... hmm... might just wait a few days and get a 'proper' digital test that says 'pregnant' or not. Can't be doing with all this maybe maybe not!

what colour was the line? can you see it all the time or just if you hold it a certain way?

I used tesco cheapo tests, and they were right.
(15 weeks preggers)

Pale pink (very pale but period due on saturday) and you can see it without squinting - but only just.

Had two miscarriages already this year so a bit apprehensive, also my dad died six weeks ago and we were going to wait until the new year to try again.

I used Tescos ones with my DD maybe I'll nip out and get some of those.

don't waste your money, does sound like a bfp but with you mcs (i am so sorry) i would wait until saturday or sunday and retest. good luck!

If there is a line in the positive window, it means there is HCG in your urine, therefore you are pregnant.

If you are worried, go get another test, I think tescos cheapy ones are a few quid for two tests, so you could do one now and one tomorrow morning (hcg is more present in the first wee)

Sadly no luck this month, but having a 'am I aren't I' moment has made me realise I am ready to try again as I was very disappointed
