Hi everyone. Been off the mini pill since the beginning of August. Tiny breakthrough bleed on 24 Aug, ovulated 14 September, proper period 24 September. Ovulated 14 October, period 24 October. Just got a positive OPK, so assuming I will ovulate tomorrow and no reason to think I won’t come on 24 November.
Clearly at the moment I only have a 9/10 day luteal phase, which I’m finding worrying. The other thing is, is it normal for cycle dates to be so rigid? It doesn’t matter what CD I’m on, it’s more the dates match up every month? I know I’m lucky I’m regular, I’m not complaining about that, it’s just I had a google and couldn’t find much info. Does anyone else have this? And does anyone else have a short LP? I’m really worried this is going to affect my chances of conceiving. Thank you!

@CharityRoyall I can't comment on the cycle regularity as mine are all over the place, but I have a short LP and came off the pill in March. Last cycle it was 8/9 days. I just ovulated yesterday so will have to see what it's like this time round, but I've been taking a B vitamin complex and vitamin C as these are meant to help with a short LP, as well as Agnus Castus x

Hi @MintGreenLife that’s good to know! I’ve seen stuff about Agnus Castus and B vitamin complex - do you just take them all month through? And do you know if it helps with lengthening your cycle or making your ovulation earlier (my ideal outcome haha). I’ve read that a short LP is quite common but I haven’t seen many people talking about it xx

Hi!

I’ve just come across your post and wanted to message as I was TTC earlier in the year and after the first two months noticed I had a 10 day luteal phase, I read all sorts online about it but conceived in 3/4 cycles so I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you.

I know it’s easy for me to say, but I’m now 15 weeks pregnant so it is possible.

Xx

Hi @Janee20 that’s really good to know! Congratulations! I’m really glad you’ve said that because I’ve been driving myself mad with googling. Everywhere I look I’m being told LATE OVULATION and POSSIBLE FERTILITY PROBLEMS etc etc so great to hear from someone who’s actually experienced it and still conceived xx

My luteal phase was around 10/11 days when I got pregnant with my son. Since having him it's dropped to around 8/9 days, hopefully this won't be an issue when we start TTC again
