Hi all!

So I stopped contraception last month, with the aim to have a months break before actively trying next month. Since we’re using no contraception we thought I would track ovulation to see where we’re at. I’ve taken a fairly laid back approach to it.

So in CD day 9 had 2 lines but as the test line was so faint I decided to leave it a couple more days and retest. I’m now CD 12 and the control line is faint and no test line at all.
What are the chances that I’ve ovulated and completely missed it?

When are you doing the tests? Ideally you should be doing them after midday - and daily!

Okay, I’ve been doing them in the morning, I’ll test again today after midday and see what happens. Do I need to hold my urine for a couple of hours?

I would be testing twice per day - personally!
I've attached some of mine and you'll see how it can vary during the day.
This month I got peak at Day 9 - I suspect my body realised that the egg didn't rupture from the follicle and I hit another peak a few days later! Emotional rollercoaster!

Okay. Maybe I’m being too relaxed if I’m wanting to know when ovulation occurs. I’ll start monitoring more frequently as well!

@Leah2501 I usually do a daily test around day 8/9 and then as predicted ovulation approaches, I double up and do one AM and PM as I've read it can be easily missed in 12 hours which I suspect may have happened on my first cycle - I had highs and then nothing - no peak so I guess I missed it!

I use Femometer as they are cheap, with CB as things get closer to ovulation.

CB detects high fertility and then peak quite clearly so there is no guess work with interpretations.

This is my CB chart, which you'll see showed how messed my last month has been !

Hope this helps xx

To add, with CB, the darkest is PEAK, the lighter ones are HIGH, the grey are non-fertile and the pink is AF xx
