How much do u spend on pregnancy tests

On average how much do u all spend on pregnancy tests each cycle?

The bloody add up don’t they!

I spend a lot more trying to compare lines if I get even the faintest bfp. A lot less if they are bfn after bfn.

Last cycle it was around £15ish

Can’t say about this cycle as I’m probably still going to buy some more

I dread to think how much I've spent. I only really trust First response so say £8 for a pack of 2 if they are on an Amazon deal then I'd probably use 4+ and testing daily from 9DPO although the odd day I might take 2 - morning and night - so probably £20

If i got a BFP and I was tracking line progression I could probably spend £50 between first responses and clear blue digital with weeks indicators 🙈

An absolute fortune! I must spend about £20 on tests every single month and I've been TTC a lonnnnnng time

Jeez thought it was only me!

Not that much tbh. I get the 20 pack of easy@home ICs which probably lasts me 5 cycles. I have a two pack (or maybe 2?) of FRERs that cost £8 on amazon and one CB digital but those are all waiting for the day AF is either late or the ICs show a hint of a line.

Sohe · 13/11/2020 07:56

Same. I was using One Step IC which are very cost effective as you can get 20 for under £5. but I’m trying to not buy anymore of them as early daily testing caused me a lot of stress last cycle. Don’t know how long it will be till I cave and buy more 🙈.

So basically I try to have a little stash of them, not too many so I don’t feel like I can test every day. So I like to have a two pack of FRER and a two pack of CB digital. I find that this stops me buying so many. So I buy them at the start of AF as a ‘treat’ for myself. Still these are two expensive brands so probably spend about £10-15 a month. Plus about £9 on opk. I was using the one step opk but switched to the easy at home for this month. Not detected peak yet but I have to say I’m very impressed with them compared to one step.

I only drink once a month now though the weekend AF arrives (or whatever my day off falls). So I justify the spend as that is what I would spend during an evening at the pub!

DuzzyFuck · 13/11/2020 08:00

Erm.... I've only early tested twice in 6 months (both BFN so only one test). About £3.49 in total Blush

Honestly I'd rather wait until AF due unless I have a particular reason to test earlier. I think BFNs just add to to the torture.

I used amazon cheapie strips and only used FRER/Digitals once I had a positive on the cheapies. Otherwise I would have spent a fortune!!

Asiama · 13/11/2020 08:57

I think over two pregnancies I spent around £10 on around 20 tests, which include the cheap strips and the digital ones. I highly recommend these tests, they are cheap and I found them reliable.

Probably about £12-£15 pcm.
On ebay can buy 4 FRERs (2 packs of 2) for £10 and then some ICs to top it up. _

Girls don’t u think we should make a pact to use the money we’d normally spend on tests and treat ourselves to a takeaway and some chocolate x
