@chloedancer897 I'm so sorry you feel this way, when you say you aren't going to try, does that mean your not going to not try? As in you'll carry on DTD but as and when you want to and not because it's the right time in your cycle? You never know, things happen when you least expect them! I think it's great though, that you've decided to close this chapter and enjoy what you have. Beat of luck for the future x

RichmondLady1981 · 25/11/2020 22:30

@Bellabubble you’re amazing. People will take so much strength from what you’re saying on this forum. You’re so right... you know you’re fertile and now you’re surrounded by lots of great people who can support you through this. You’re so lucky to have such great doctors- take full advantage. I’m so glad you’re past the op stage and no longer terrified of an anaesthetic- I felt exactly the same and now I’m nowhere near as scared.

I’m now back at work! that two weeks went super fast! Having a full month of hormone tests/bloods done so hopefully results back before Xmas. Just to check all is right. Would be nice peace of mind in time for the NY.

Fertile window next week so let’s see what this month brings. Hope your cycle settles and your body gets back to doing it’s thing very soon. Take it easy x

Hi there everyone,

New to this forum and looking for some hope.
So I had a mc in 2016 and fell pregnant quickly after and had my little girl in 2017.
We have been trying for a second for over a year and finally fell pregnant with twins which stopped growing at 6 weeks which we found out at 8 weeks. I had surgical managment yesterday.
We have had all the fertility tests and there was no issue with me or my partner.
The only thing thats keeping me going is the thought of trying again and hoping that I am super fertile following this and it doesn’t take me another year to conceive!!
Any positive stories/tips?

susiebluebell · 26/11/2020 08:05

Good morning @elsimo and welcome! I'm so sorry for your loss 💕 I'm still waiting for my BFP (hopefully not too far off) but what has really helped me accept the mc is finding out that it most often happens because there's something wrong with the baby. So even though it's heartbreaking, in some ways it's nature protecting both of us from more suffering.

I'm sure like me you are wanting to hear from all the ladies who have got their BFPs and there have been so many recently 😁 Just something I have been thinking a lot about over the past few weeks. Welcome again! X

HappyVibes · 26/11/2020 08:31

Welcome @elsimo & sorry to hear of your story. It seems that you yourself have a beautiful success story re post MC 💓There have been soooo many BFPs lately in this thread which gives so so much hope for us all. Good luck 💫

elsimo · 26/11/2020 08:36

Hi guys :)

Thanks for your replies.
Yip I do have my very own wee success, however what worries me this time is my age (i'm 36) and the fact we took so long to conceive this last pregnancy.
I had all fertility tests done which were normal so the doctors said the only thing they couldn't test for was my egg quality (I had plenty of eggs). I am now thinking well considering it took so long and then a miscarriage thats a sign my eggs are rubbish HmmConfused
I'm trying to be positive as we were just about to start IVF so it is positive I at least managed to conceive myself xx

leftitlate37 · 26/11/2020 09:41

Hi everyone - hope u dont mind if i join. sorry to read about everyones stories and sorry for your losses. we had a miscarriage last month - thought was doing ok, but finding the emotional side of things defo hit in last couple of weeks. times i feel like am going crazy :s just read some of you had tried talking therapy - did u find it helps? I've read some online stuff we get through work which is good to know you arent alone in feeling like u do!
anyhow, back TTC for us - was still having positive pregnancy tests for about 3 weeks. think will just go with the flow for a couple months and see what happens and then get back on the OPKs etc!

susiebluebell · 26/11/2020 13:39

Ok guys, here I am at 13dpo and been getting mad cm all yesterday and today. It's drying white on my underwear. Anybody else have this in early pregnancy? I'm hoping that's what's causing it! Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻

susiebluebell · 26/11/2020 13:39

Welcome @leftitlate37! You'll find great support here as you get ready to TTC again x

MSG92 · 26/11/2020 14:18

Welcome @elsimo and @leftitlate37 sorry you are here. Hope you find this place helpful. It's really helped me. I had my mc in August and got my BFP this month, I'm now 6w5, I don't know if this proves people are more fertile straight after...but if we've done it once we can do it again right?!

@susiebluebell sounds promising!!! When are you testing?

I'm having a weird day today, all my symptoms seem to have gone... I wore my bands when I got up to help with the nausea that normally comes but I've taken them off and I still don't feel sick. I've had some light cramps in my lower abdomen, think I'm gonna book an early scan for next Saturday when I'll be 8 weeks, then hopefully abdominal will show up as I don't want internal. No spotting, anyone else experienced this?

elsimo · 26/11/2020 14:40

@MSG92 oh congratulations!!
It's so stressful when the symptoms come and go but try not to overthink it, could be ur body has just got used to hormones and they are about to have another surge.
I never really felt sick at all with both of my mc's but with my little girl I felt sick before I even missed a period so the fact u have got sickness is a good sign Smile

susiebluebell · 26/11/2020 16:38

@MSG92 I'm testing on the weekend! 🤞🏻

MoMof4xx · 26/11/2020 17:39

@MSG92 sorry you're having one of those days. I had this a few days ago and now all back to normal. The cramps come and go throughout the day. Its a good sign that your uterus is stretching for the growing baby.
@elsimo and @leftitlate37 sorry you find yourselves in this situation. This is a lovely, supportive group.
@susiebluebell sounds very promising. It was one of my first signs that I was pregnant. Usually starts early on and continues throughout pregnancy. Sending baby dust xx

susiebluebell · 26/11/2020 18:47

Thanks @MoMof4xx I can feel the hope creeping up on me! 🤗

elsimo · 26/11/2020 20:17

@susiebluebell sounds promising I had loads of this as kept thinking my period was starting

MgW1 · 26/11/2020 20:50

@chloedancer897
Ah sorry you feel like this its difficult, how old are you? I have a 6&4 yr old and its hard because i just think I should concentrate all my efforts on them and feel guilty for getting upset with ttc xxx

chloedancer897 · 26/11/2020 20:54

@MgW1 I'm 35. My two other children are 13 and almost 8. I am so grateful for them but have an empty void where I know I was always meant to have another child. My husband cried about the MC today. It was awful seeing him so heartbroken. He finally agreed to IVF. He is so desperate for another baby

MgW1 · 26/11/2020 21:11

@chloedancer897
Did you conceive your other 2 naturally or ivf? Ah bless him its very stressfull.i had a mc in Aug at 14 wks xx

Bellabubble · 26/11/2020 21:30

@Mommybear05 @RichmondLady1981 thank you. I think after months of thinking our first time was a fluke, then being stuck in limbo a bit before choosing the surgical route, I decided to try and shift my mindset - I’m hoping I can stay this positive if it takes us another 8 cycles again though! I’m thinking of using a low dosage of asprin this time, and some B12 - apparently low B12 can contribute to recurrent miscarriages. I’m also considering calling my Dr to see if they can sort me some blood test (although I doubt they will after only 2 in a row). I feel good having a plan of action though - and I definitely think I’ll be trying to call the obgyn that did my surgery (he said to call when I fell pregnant again). I did a half day in school today, and had a training course online in the afternoon, I’m definitely shattered now! xx

Mommybear05 · 26/11/2020 21:37

@Bellabubble here’s praying that you conceive again quickly and in less than eight cycles. So happy to hear you have a good doctor too. And yes I would be an advocate for the b12. As I said before I was having spotting between periods and literally half a cycle on a high dose of b vitamins no bleeding at all (fingers crossed it stays that way!!) and my bfp. And they are water soluble anything you don’t need you pee out so you have nothing to lose! Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 26/11/2020 21:55

@Mommybear05 what dosage of B12 are you taking?

chloedancer897 · 27/11/2020 08:08

@MgW1 sorry for your loss. It really is unbearably painful. I conceived my others naturally. Which is why this has all been such a shock

Mommybear05 · 27/11/2020 09:21

@RichmondLady1981 500ug a day (I’m not sure the difference between ug and my but it’s says ug on the bottle) plus there’s a little more in the complex vitamin I’m also taking

RichmondLady1981 · 27/11/2020 09:29

@Mommybear05 thank you! It’s confusing isn’t it! 😂
