Are these ovulation pains?

TTC #2

Finished first round of clomid to induce ovulation on Sunday, meaning today is cycle day 8

Just started experiencing mild twinges/very mild cramping

Is this a sign ovulation is impending?

I'm not sure exactly how Clomid works but CD8 would normally be too early for ovulation pain, unless you have very short cycles. Ovulation pain would be felt on the far lower left or right, depending on which ovary is ovulating. I get ovulation pain that is a sharp, twingy pain and a strong ache, this lasts about 3 days with ovulation in the middle. However Clomid could affect what is 'normal' and could cause more intense pains that starter earlier and last longer. If you are monitoring BBT and using OPKs then you can identify when ovulation happens.
