OPK question

So his is my first month using opks. I'm 41, so my odds aren't great, but I was pregnant a year ago but had a miscarriage at 7 weeks (heartbeat was seen at a scan) and had a chemical in July.
Anyway, yesterday on cd13 I was getting to almost positive (not quite matching the control line but very nearly!). That was at just fine midday.
Today I have done two, one at 7.30am and one just now (10.30am) and both lines are so pale!! So have I ovulated and missed the positive or just not ovulating?
We've only had sex on friday as dp is on meds that screw his ability to 'finish' so the other times probably weren't baby making sex!! So was hoping to not ovulate already as I was hoping to get another chance before ovulation!!
Maybe at 41 I'm just too old anyway!
So, excuse my ranting, what does the opk mean? Anyone know?

My surge and peak all happen within the space of a day, so you may have missed it 🤷🏻‍♀️
If you were DTD in the run up to your surge, you will have done what you can anyway x

Sorry to hear of your miscarriage Thanks. There is a chance that you have already ovulated. You can have multiple surges in a cycle however. I would often get dark lines, followed by super faint but then a few days later the opk would be undeniably positive. I'd keep doing them a few times per day.

Thank you!
I also had massive bloating and 'full' achy feeling yesterday which I never usually get but maybe that was an ovulation thing that I've not had before and I just missed it. Then fingers crossed dtd on Friday was late enough to catch it!
