Hi all, this is my first post. My partner and I have recently decided we’d like to have a baby but I have PCOS which was diagnosed a while ago, I have spoken to the doctor and he has referred me to the gynaecologist. Does anyone know what this appointment will entail?

It depends how the pcos is affecting you. Do you have regular periods and do you ovulate?

Hi thanks for replying, no I don’t have regular periods maybe about 4 per year. I honestly don’t know if I’m ovulating or not I was wondering if they will be able to tell me this at the appointment. I’m so early on in this journey I have a lot of research to do which I am fully aware.

In which case they’ll probably discuss options to get you ovulating. Such as clomid. Are you overweight? (Quite common for pcos). Sorry for short posts - trying to do other things whilst typing!
