What were your symptoms before BFP?

What were your symptoms before BFP? Were you nauseated?

I've been feeling queasy for 3 days and major fatigue. I'm a runner but haven't been able to do my normal route without stopping to walk. AF is due on Friday (in 6 days). Trying to wait to test because I know I could just be having pms.

@Aw326 personally I found I had heightened sense of smell to stuff
I swore my other half had eaten some spag Bol cos I could smell it on him - turned out it was his beard oil
Then the next day , I was eating milky bar ( absolutely love white chocolate ) & I thought the bar was OOD , as it tasted sour to me. OH had some , said it was fine so I let him have the rest
Next day I noticed I was 3 days late so did the test expecting it be negative
I'm now 26 weeks

But I believe everyone is different

Good luck SmileSmile

I felt violently sick, got a negative. The sickness never passed so five days later tested again and positive.
Hyperemesis sufferer, so it gives the game away instantly.

I have had the bizarre pregnancy dream twice and I was pregnant both times Hmmjust didn't know yet.

Also start drinking silly amounts of water.

Heightened sense of smells

Extreme fatigue

Some people test early or after missed period so that can make a difference.
I get HG and am very ill 5 weeks on the dot so if I didn't take a test until I was over a week late that would obviously be a huge symptom but I test early and last pregnancy I tested positive at 9 dpo and I remember I made an effort to see if there were any changes I could sense but honestly I didn't feel any different, most symptoms (sore boobs another main one) started from the day my period was due and onwards.

You sound very similar to me first time round, except the nausea didn’t start until much later for me. It was an attempted run on the treadmill, had to stop after 5 minutes, just felt so, so tired. Can’t recall whether my period was late or not. I remember thinking this is so weird I’m going to have to go to the GP, so I’ll take a test first because they’re bound to ask if I could be pregnant. Didn’t think for a second I was. Got the BFP.

Thanks everyone. Worried I'm just symptom spotting but will stay hopeful this week and report back!

I did a test yesterday morning because I was feeling so wretched and queasy, but it was negative. It was 5 days before my expected period, just like @WhySoSensitive.
So I guess it could be a false negative. Still not feeling great, will wait and see what happens.

@Aw326 I felt nausea from about a week after ovulation, if not before. Alcohol made me feel so sick (boooo) and I nearly passed out in a sauna. I got a BFN 6 days before period and BFP 3 days before period. Definitely not out!

Aw326 · 10/11/2020 14:58

Thanks @AMS19 - that's so helpful. I'm very slightly crampy too, but nothing compared to my normal AF. So I will just have to wait and see!

Good luck @Aw326 let us know how you get on!

Bellaphant · 10/11/2020 15:48

5 days before I was due on last time I was throwing up, bit the two days before that I took a nap at 4pm!

Chocolate tasted disgusting. I was making a bacon Sandwich and thought it would be a good idea to add peanut butter? I also nearly burnt my new kitchen down.

Still didn't test til I was over a week late, lol. Was not expecting it at all!!

HoneysuckleHalliana · 10/11/2020 16:05

I was exhausted, like PP I suddenly found myself doing afternoon naps.
I was also really really emotional, I remember crying because I didn't have my umbrella when in started raining. Not because I was getting wet, you understand, specifically because the rain drops were falling on my head Blush

PutOnAHappyFace · 10/11/2020 16:21

Just got my BFP after 14 months or trying and I can honestly say this is the he first month I had zero symptoms so I'm assuming those symptoms for me where to do with periods. It's so hard not to symptom watch though.

WhySoSensitive · 10/11/2020 18:00

My first negative was two days before my missed period. I wouldn’t say I knew I was pregnant but I knew I wasn’t right and/or something was happening linked to it. It was too similar to when I was pregnant with my little boy!
When I tested five days later it would have been 3 days after I was due.

Alicespring · 11/11/2020 11:42

This was the one month I didn't have any symptoms (or so I thought) I have a sore lower back but put it down to the constipation caused by iron tablets 😂
This time around I've not had sore boobs at all and not overly tired.
Got my BFP yesterday

Jen8888 · 11/11/2020 11:52

Went out for dinner, had a couple of cocktails and then felt insanely nauseous.

Couldn't finish my dinner or glass of Prosecco.

SoundWithoutAName · 11/11/2020 12:03

Blocked/bleeding nose, constipation and wind Blush

Aw326 · 11/11/2020 16:25

Congratulations @PutOnAHappyFace and @Alicespring!

Thanks everyone else... I am pretty much going to assume I'll get my AF soon, and if I don't, then I'll test again. Trying not to focus on it, but it's almost impossible!
