Waiting for AF

PeanutButterFalcon · 06/11/2020 18:04

AF is due any day now (irregular cycles) and the wait seems to be lasting forever.

I'm symptom spotting like crazy although it all could be PMS so do not have my hopes up.

Currently on cycle 8. We had a break last month and honestly I did not miss all the stress that comes with it.

Anyone else want to wait together?

Hi @peanutbutterfalcon yes, I'll wait with you! Im 11DPO on my 2nd cycle trying (4th since coming off the pill) and am ashamed to say I have been symptom spotting 😆

I have had a really rubbish cycle (im on CD46 and my pre and post Ov temps have been really low) so I know I'm pushing my luck to even think about being pregnant 😅

So far I have had light abdominal cramps since 8DPO and my nipples and been a little sensitive then today I had two very sharp pains in my lower centre right abdomen (above pubic line) that lasted a few seconds each and some cramping/faint pains in that area since. I probably just have wind 🤣 but here's to hoping!

PeanutButterFalcon · 06/11/2020 20:25

Hi @Kay00,
Every month I tell myself I won't symptom spot and every month I do even when I know it's not going to happen.

Do you normally have longer cycles? I'm at CD36 at the moment. I've stopped tracking ovulation but can usually guess correctly from EWCM.

Could be implantation 🤞

I've got sore breasts which I've only had before once since stopping the pill and constipation. I've been cramping since Monday so think AF is on her way

I'll wait with you too. According to the tracker AF was due yesterday but I only had spotting and today only a little spotting but no cramps or anything like usual. My cycles are usually 28-31 days and today is 31 so we'll see what happens tomorrow!

Kay00 · 06/11/2020 21:04

@peanutbutterfalcon yes, I usually have long cycles... but this had been the longest! My body tried to ovulate three times before it finally did and my poor DH and I DTD 21 times in before ovulation 😂

@shell4860 🤞 AF doesn't make an appearance!!

Shell4860 · 06/11/2020 21:11

@Kay00 I have such mixed feelings about it right now. I have been off the pill since last December and nothing has happened yet, part of me doesn't want AF to come but then part of me will be relieved if it does

Kay00 · 06/11/2020 21:24

@shell4860 its good that you're having regular cycles 😊 are you doing anything to pinpoint your ovulation?

Shell4860 · 06/11/2020 21:29

@Kay00 no, I know when I ovulate as I can feel it every month but I've always said I'm not going OPKs or anything as I want it to be natural as poss and I know I would get too obsessed with it

Kay00 · 06/11/2020 21:36

@shell4860 thats fair enough... its certainly easy to get obsessed! I get pretty obvious ovulation signals too (fertile CM, high soft cervix and a raging libido 😆) so I could probably do without the OPKs but I like tracking my temp whilst my cycles are so erratic

Shell4860 · 06/11/2020 21:42

@kay00 it's a good idea to track if your cycles are erratic 👍🏻 when I ovulate I literally get a sharp pain in my ovary and cramps all day so it's good I know for definite

PeanutButterFalcon · 06/11/2020 22:00

@Shell4860 hope AF stays away. Will you test soon if it doesn't show? Do you have any symptoms? We've been off the pill the same amount of time.

Tracking with OPKs became so stressful and became a real mood killer, hence why I stopped.

@Kay00 21 times sounds exhausting. Hopefully it has done the trick

Shell4860 · 06/11/2020 22:32

@peanutbutterfalcon I'll test tomorrow morning if AF doesn't show. I don't have any symptoms at all which is strange. Do you have any symptoms? What CD are you on?

PeanutButterFalcon · 07/11/2020 05:11

@Shell4860 now on CD37. Not unusual for me I can range between 26-38, but usually at the higher end.

I have sore breasts (only had once before), constipation and cramps which I've never had before but could be the constipation I guess. Usually I have no pain until just before AF arrives. I know it can all be PMS so not getting my hopes up.

Good luck today

@PeanutButterFalcon good morning! Are you planning to test soon?

Im having some mild cramps that could be the start of AF. Im 12DPO and my LP ranges anywhere from 8 days to 14 days! So im not sure whether to test tomorrow (which is when FF says to test) or leave it until 15DPO when I'm more sure I missed my period.

Kay00 · 07/11/2020 07:20

@shell4860 any news?

Shell4860 · 07/11/2020 08:19

@kay00 just did a FRER and it was a very clear BFN. No sign of AF either so don't know what's going on

PeanutButterFalcon · 07/11/2020 10:38

@Kay00 I'm not sure. I've gone from testing all the time in previous cycles to not wanting to know. I think at 13dpo you'll get an accurate result.

@Shell4860 I'm sorry. do you think you could of ovulated a bit later?

OP posts:
Shell4860 · 07/11/2020 10:58

@peanutbutterfalcon no I know for certain when I ovulated. Slightly disappointed but part of me is relieved

PeanutButterFalcon · 07/11/2020 11:52

@Shell4860 the wait for AF is the longest. Mine always turns up once I've got a BFN xx

@peanutbutterfalcon Congratulations!!! 😁😁😁

PeanutButterFalcon · 07/11/2020 14:28

@Shell4860 thank you. Really did not expect it this month with all the cramping.

OP posts:
Shell4860 · 07/11/2020 16:23

@peanutbutterfalcon cramping must be a good sign!

PeanutButterFalcon · 07/11/2020 16:29

@Shell4860 I hope so. Good luck 🤞 hope you get that BFP
