Negative pregnancy test at day 28

Okay I know I’m kidding myself and it would be healthier to just accept I’m not pregnant yet another month (almost 2 years of TTC - unexplained secondary infertility).

But has anyone had a negative test at day 28 and still been pregnant?

My cycles vary between 26-28 days. I took a cheap test about an hour ago, so not first urine of the day etc but figured that doesn’t matter on day 28.

I do need to move on with my day (and my life!) at some point, but... it’s like torture!

Anyone?

@Tiletiletile1 hi! When did you ovulate? I think it is more about DPO rather than total cycle days

I stopped doing OPKs because I was getting a bit too obsessed! So I went back to the old fashioned method of not really knowing but guessing it was on x day (so guessing I’m either day 12 or 24 past ovulation).

I would definitely try again with FMU tomorrow using a FRER. I think then you can be pretty certain one way or another. If it is completely negative it is unlikely you are pregnant. Hopefully you'll see something 🤞🤞

It took me ten days after my missed AF to get a positive test with my first DD.

I will get a FRER. Are they more reliable than cheaper tests? I had assumed all were the same!

I’m sure AF will arrive as nearly two years of TTC make it very unlikely I’ll be pregnant. But I can’t help but hope!

Took 3 days after my missed period to get a positive.

@Tiletiletile1 they are more sensitive and pink which are meant to be more reliable so I think they are best. Especially before a period is due. Good luck and keep me posted!!

Thanks both! Good to know it isn’t impossible! I might actually wait a few days and then buy a FRER if no AF. I don’t want to get too hopeful or waste too much money on something that is likely to be nothing!

I'm currently the same, day 32 no sign of af but have done a cheap test and negative. Have also been trying for 2 years+
I did have af like pains a few days ago so thought it would soon be here but now that seems to have stopped again. Would just rather af come than this dragged out not knowing part as it messes with your head doesn't it!

Sadly AF arrived it all feels rather hopeless. Going to try some new supplements, but feels like (pointlessly?!) throwing money after something at this point for me!

@Tiletiletile1 sorry to hear that 😔 I'm still none the wiser and af hasn't arrived. I understand exactly how you feel and I too feel like that after paying out for months and months of supplements that the fertility clinic recommended.

I’ve been almost-then-not buying the “it starts with the egg” supplements. But I went for it this time. I spent a fortune! But worth a trying it, I’ve decided.

Yes I've read about that, I hope that works for you. As you say anything is worth a try! I might look into it also as the ones I have been taking for the last 6 months haven't helped 😔 Here's hoping we both get our bfp soon 🤞🏻
