TWW (The absolute worst) cervix and cramp

Hey girls, brand new to the group ❤️. Promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot but here I am.... Again....
Are there any ladies with a BFP had a medium soft cervix and mild cramps with back pain 10 days before AF due? Normally my back pain comes a couple of days before AF and any cramps happen on the day AF starts. As I'm typing this I'm feeling more and more like a crazy obsessed person 😂. I just can't take another visit from AF.
I can honestly admit that at 34 I had NO idea pregnancy didn't happen as soon as a peen came inside you! I want to slap all my high school teachers for convincing us to not even look at a penis.

I've been TTC for a year and if I'd known it was this difficult, I would have started trying much earlier!! Sorry for huge rant ❤️

Hi. I didn't have cramps until after my positive. With your cervix though I used to think i was out every month but mine felt really low and open the day AF was due the month I got my positive. I then didn't check it until week 10 when i had the tiniest bit of spotting and still felt low to me. So i really wouldn't consider it an indication of pregnancy. I got pregnant month 14 so I understand how hard it is. I am 34 as well. Have you had tests done now its been a year? We did and everything was fine. For some of us unfortunately it just takes time x

Thanks for your reply @Whilstwewait, have you had your little one yet?❤️ So happy for you!

Honestly hand on heart, I had no idea it took a long time for a lot of women. I'm quite an intelligent person too 😂 but I honestly thought any swimmers inside you meant pregnancy because that's what we've had drilled into us as teen girls. I think I'm going to book an appointment. If I was under 30 I'd be patient and keep trying naturally. Did you ever get advice from gynaecology after 12 months? I feel bad moaning but I have super regular periods, had everything scanned a couple years back cos they wanted to check abdo/back pain wasn't endometriosis. All healthy and normal bar tilted uterus. I'm starting to be a bitter Betty lol. I see girls that I used to babysit with like 3 kids! I used to say I'd happily donate my eggs to my mate who has endo/pcos cos her chances were so slim! Now she has two (both first try). I'm probably just stressing about it too much. I'm glad I joined on here though because it makes TTC and TWW a lot better xxx

Oh sorry @Whilstwewait I forgot the last part. That's great that you both were fine ❤️ it must have been so nerve-wracking before your appointment. I have a friend that conceived after 1st fertility appointment. Maybe having the weight off your mind helps. Our bodies are so intuitive sometimes xxx

I didnt either. I had no clue. I insisted on being married before trying and then worried I'd made a mistake waiting.

I went for bloods after 7 months and my husband had a sperm analysis. I just wanted peace of mind so told the doctor it had been a year. All tests were fine. The doctor said had i been younger she'd have told us to keep trying for 6 months before being referred but with my age and waiting lists being long referred us straight away. In my area you get referred to gynaecology first. I had a telephone appointment in August and got pregnant that month. I did 4 sessions of acupuncture so not sure if that made a difference. Xx

@Crazydoglady86 congratulations they are lovely lines! How far gone are you? I'm 17DPO, 4 weeks 2 days based off LMP xx

Crazydoglady86 · 13/11/2020 07:54

@AMS19 I didn't track my ovulation this month but it must be around 4 weeks too. Still can't believe it. I was about to enquire about fertility testing! Are you excited? Smile xxx

@Crazydoglady86 it is always the way, so many people fall when they think they are out and need help!! I am still being very cautious around getting too excited as it is early days! But quietly optimistic 😂😂 how you feeling? Xx

Crazydoglady86 · 13/11/2020 08:14

@AMS19 it's still not sunk in. Every cramp and twinge scares me lol been scared to go for a poop incase it falls out hahaha! I don't think I'll chill out until I've had my first scan. Dyu have any unwanted symptoms yet? Xx

OP posts:
AMS19 · 13/11/2020 08:31

@Crazydoglady86 it is terrifying isnt it! Nausea and cramping. The cramping stresses me out, the nausea makes me feel much better! Definitely getting an early scan to check all is okay xx

Crazydoglady86 · 13/11/2020 08:51

@AMS19 Oh definitely! I'm gona get the earliest scan they offer haha! I'm more dizzy than I am nauseous but maybe that will come later uuurrrggghhh xx

Congratulations @Crazydoglady86 its so surreal isnt it getting that test after waiting so long. Really strong line as well. I'm doing good thanks. I'm nearly 15 weeks now. So feeling relatively normal after the first trimester sickness. Xx

Crazydoglady86 · 13/11/2020 10:49

Thankyoooouuu @Whilstwewait I was dead sure I'd be coming on lol, I even wore a white thong to try and tempt fate and get AF to put me out of my misery hahaha! The line came up within a minute!! Dyu have any scan pics yet? I don't feel too sick just yet but I feel like I'm on a boat sometimes and my head goes a bit weird xxxx

Whilstwewait · 13/11/2020 12:19

I was the same. I kept checking constantly expecting my period to arrive. It was only after missing two that I relaxed. I had no symptoms until about 2 weeks after. It didn't feel real until the scan and I still don't believe it now as I feel completely fine. Yes here's our little pudding at 12w4 x

Crazydoglady86 · 13/11/2020 12:38

@Whilstwewait eeeeeeek sooo adorable!!! Got back cramps right now actually. Desperate to take my heat bag to work but people will ask me what's wrong lol xxx

Whilstwewait · 13/11/2020 15:43

@Crazydoglady86 yes the cramps were the worse but reassuring at the same time knowing baby was snuggling in x
