Period after ectopic?

Hey,

The last thread I posted on here was a little over a month ago where I had a positive pregnancy test after bleeding. Unfortunately I was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy which I had removed 6th October.

Does anyone who’s had an ectopic mind sharing how long it took you to get your period back? I know it hasn’t been long for me but I’m just curious as I’m feeling a little down as the fertility clinic said I need to wait for two cycles before then can do more tests or help me.

I feel like I really messed this up 😭. I know it couldn’t be prevented but I just feel like I’m worse off than I was before, TTC since July 2019.

I bled for 2 weeks after my ectopic then my proper period returned 4 weeks later. But I had medical management rather than surgical so I imagine it would be a bit different?

Please don’t blame yourself for any of this, there is nothing you could have done to prevent this happening to you 💙 totally understand all your feelings though, it’s very traumatic. Be gentle with yourself xx

Thank you @MrsB2019x I had hoped maybe the surgery would reset the cycle straight away but actually maybe if needs time to get over the shock of it?
