I bet everyone has these feelings whilst ttc.. I came off my mini pill in May and have had regular cycles ever since, I seem to get a peak with my ovulation tests every month but I never seem to get EW CM so I’m beginning to think I’m not ovulating 😔

Just wondered if anyone else had similar experiences or had any advice or just feels the same? I’m 30 and starting to feel I left it too late, my partner is 40 and has a 12 year old so he doesn’t see the rush and is just go with the flow..

Thank you xxx

Hi
I think its natural to feel like that 6 months in. I was exactly the same and thought it would never happen. It did for us finally on cycle 14. When it did happen the last 14 months and all the stress was so worth it. The worse thing with TTC is just not knowing. You stress about everything. I never noticed EWCM and tried everything to increase it. In the end I just think it was all up there where it mattered Grin unfortunately a lot of TTC is just luck.

At 30 you definitely haven't left it too late. I was 34 when we started and panicked I'd done the same but it all worked out.

Good luck x

I know exactly how you feel, we've been trying for 12 months and its so hard to switch off your brain from analysing everything isn't it?! I've never had a positive ovulation test, and yet am still hoping that maybe my window for testing is so narrow I'm missing it! I'm also not convinced I get EWCM, so hopefully as the above says its just all tucked up in there?! Haha. I'm just coming up to 30 too and its hard not to think maybe we should have started earlier, but as there's no turning back time we've just got to embrace it and make it count now :) Fingers crossed our time will come soon! X

Hey :) I'm a month ahead of you as came off the pill in April and still no luck, although I'm having issues with my cycle post pill as am ovulating really late (CD25-40) and have a short LP of 8 days. Weirdly I get loads of EWCM, but mine can go on for weeks before I finally ovulate. If you're worried your not ovulating have you considered charting your BBT? I do this so know I am ovulating and that's how I know I have a short LP. We are 7 months into TTC and like you I'm feeling pretty hopeless about it all at the moment. I'm 32, so what you're thinking about age has crossed my mind, but I'm not too worried, yet! x

Sorry girls the notifications for this went in my spam... and with the number of posts on here you just lose your post! Aww I’m glad it’s not just me feeling like this 🤦‍♀️ I’m glad you finally got your bfp @Whilstwewait gives us all hope @daisyhayttc @MintGreenLife

I’m currently in my 2ww so if it doesn’t happen this month, I’m giving up tracking for these next 2 months so I can enjoy the festivities, however they turn out and restart next year!

I hear from so many people the less you try the more it happens

Xxx

I felt exactly the same as you! Never thinking it was going to happen and that there must be something wrong with me! I came off my pill 1st aug 2019 i had my day 3 bloods in aug DP had SA in sept both of our tests came back satisfactory then last month my gp done 21 day bloods on friday 23rd oct and i got my BFP on 27th oct so it took us 14 months to conceive my first and his 2nd. It will happen when its your time i promise 🥰

@Nic2020 take evening primrose oil for EWCM o never got any before them started taking it and got so much! Take it from Cd1 up to the day of ovulation then stop! Xx

Nic2020 · 08/11/2020 08:07

@xoxochellexoxo thanks so much for the reassurance, it’s hard because your friends try but when it happened for them straight away they don’t really get it..

@AnxiousAnnie86 oh really I’ll definitely pop to Holland and Barrett and get some.. my mum always gets hers from there and I know it’s still open with those rules 🤣

Xx

@Nic2020 it is so hard when you think nobofy feels like u and u only ever hear about the people who it happened for straight away but for alot of people that isnt the case, i honestly thought id never be able to be a mum and i am still in shock from my tests and i know that i wish somebody would have just told me that it does take a while for some people xx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/11/2020 09:44

@Nic2020 it took us 15 months and a MC it's absolutely soul destroying and heartbreaking every month.... this month I got my bfp, and genuinely in the TWW I gave up, I thought there was no way we could possibly of done it as we only dtd "successfully" one day over fertile window, I didn't track didn't think about it drank what I want ate what I want etc etc, whether or not that was what did it I don't know... I also started reflexology x
