Ovulation early?

Hi ladies,
This is only my third month TTC - the first month I didn't get a peak, last month I had a high and a peak and this month I've gone straight to peak at Day 9 - is this normal? Should I panic?!

I've retested and the ovulation test is now negative.

How can I go from negative yesterday AM to peak this AM and then negative this PM?!

Driving myself mad :-( xx

I had the exact same thing last cycle, drove me crazy (not that it takes much mind your!!) CB digital went from blank circle on CD9 to static smiley (peak) on CD10. Held my wee for 3 hours and didn't drink anything and used a cheapie that was very definitely negative. After doing some (OK, A LOT OF) reading I saw that it is not uncommon for some women to experience multiple peaks, especially a short fleeting one early on. Eventually I got my "proper" peak on CD13 and I say proper because I also got EWCM and then a temp rise.

Did you carry on testing with CB? I didn't think it would allow testing after a static smiley? I have some femometer cheapy ones I could carry on with? We DTD just in case today anyway.

Did you have EWCM on the first peak?! I haven't had anything tbh!
I'm usually quite regular with the EWCM around day 14 too!

@Twinkle1989 After 48 hours, I tested again and got the blank circle, but I was already using the cheapies as well. Eventually I got a peak on the cheapie and the CB at the same time. In all honesty the CB digital was a waste of money! I know a lot of women swear by it but for me it was 30£ down the drain. Didn't help identify more fertile days and it stopped working after 10 uses, so I was left with 10 sticks which I binned. However, the cheapies have worked reliably for me in the 3 cycles that I've been TTC. I test twice a day from CD9, one at 12:00 and one at 6:00pm, after 2-3 hour hold with limited drinking.
I didn't get any EWCM on my first peak either, that's how I knew it wasn't the real thing!
