Brown discharge/spotting

Has anyone ever experienced a late period and on and off brown spotting?
I'm 2 weeks late and BFN but the past few days I've been having brown discharge/spotting only when I go to the toilet or wipe though, doesn't fill a pad or anything. Keep thinking AF is coming but I've had no red blood? I've not been having any cramps like I normally do with my AF either which is strange.

Anyone who has had a similar experience please let me know!

I generally have brown spotting on run up to period for a couple of days - apparently it’s just what was left last month coming out so old blood but I’m never late, always 28 day starts full flow. I had brown discharge all through my early pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. I also had brown discharge when I started pregnacare conception 6/7 days before period due all the way to when come on. I’ve stopped pregnacare and the excessive brown spotting has stopped so I think I was having too much of a vitamin or it didn’t agree with me. Not sure any of that helps but some experiences

I had this and they put me on progrestrone. I'd look into this.

Thanks for the replies! I have just started to get some pain like normal pms cramps still no red blood, normally would have lots of red blood with these cramps, might wait and see if AF comes. If not will phone the doctor
