Hey,
Anyone got any experience? I'm TTC after last injection in Feb 2019.

It took 12 months for my periods to return after my last injection but another 2 years to conceive after that with lots of fertility issues unfortunately.

I conceived after 9 months. Think it took 3-4 months to get regular periods again. I definitely think the injection slowed things down as I went on the Mirena coil after first child and it took me 4 months to conceive the next time. It was a frustrating wait. Good luck x

I had my final depo last May, stayed on the pill until December, had first period in February and finally conceived in August Smile so 6 months of trying but over a year after my last depo. Probably not helpful because I was on the pill for so long after but thought I'd share!

I was on depo for 4/5years. Came off it in 2018 to go on cerezette. Went back for one more injection last august. Came off it last november. Af came back in january. Im still currently ttc. Will never go back on depo again. Messed up my af for years. I have 28-36 days with spotting upto a week before it. Very annoying. Every month i think it could be Implantation bleeding 😰

It took 3 years to conceive dd2 after the depo for me.

I stopped depo 12 months before my ideal TTC window. I conceived first month we tried both times. First time was after I had only had one period in 12 month so estimated date was completely wrong. Didn’t have a period for 2 months before conception so things can still be happening even if no period. Good luck OP

@marsvar28
Good to hear someone else is getting the spotting, not great obviously but good to hear it's probably the depo and nothing more serious.

Thanks for the info nice to hear other people's experiences. It took a while to get my periods back to a normal cycle but fingers crossed it won't be too much longer now!

I've just read that it can take 22 months to be properly fertile again, so in case anyone is still having problems - go see your doctor if it's been that long x

marsvar28 · 02/11/2020 11:01

@Originalusername6432762 thankyou so much. Yes im absolutely over the moon. And yep i had spotting last sunday - thursday. Much lighter than my usual spotting too. I also have watery red blood come out just oncr and 2 wipes it was gone. Ive had no slotting since thursday and my af was due either yesterday or today. No sign whatsoever. 😍🙏🤩 xx

@marsvar28
I'm so pleased for you!
Oh cool, I started spotting this month and I thought that meant no but it's nice to see it's still a possibility! I'm probably going to crazy symptom spotting now 😂

@Originalusername6432762 i feel you. That was me every month. Af & pregnancy symptoms are so similar🙈 I was so nervous to even take a test yesterday. This was our first month 'relaxing' and no Ovulation testing or IC testing lol. Only thing i have is sore boobs, especially nipples & feel really tired. I cant sleep past 6am since the middle of last week. Awful annoying. What dpo are you? Xx

Originalusername6432762 · 02/11/2020 11:41

@marsvar28
I don't really track ovulation as the sticks didn't give me any positives at all which was extra depressing! I just guess at 14 days before af so I'm guessing 7/8dpo. Felt really weird after predicted ovulation for a few days, really hungry, tired, aches and pains in my abdomen, but after I started spotting I put it down to the clocks changing or eating something funny. I'm pretty sure that the body acts like it's pregnant up until about a week before your period anyway.
I try so hard every month not to get too hopeful and just go with the flow but it's soooo difficult!
