Am I being ridiculous...nausea question

I am TTC number 2 and have been off the pill for 2 months now ...my question is:

The earliest I could have fallen pg would have been last Tuesday, so 6 days ago...is it possible that I would be feeling nauseous already?

I haven't felt 'right' since Friday and am definitely having small waves of nausea.

I had a horrific first pregnancy but the nausea didn't kick in until week 7 so wasn't sure if it was even possible for this to happen so early on if I was (miraculously but fantastically) pregnant?

Am I being ridiculous?

Joe

I think a little too early - sorry!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 15/10/2007 15:15

Actually no, it's not too early - i was feeling LOTS and LOTS more than just nausea when was only 1 week pg.

Think best thing is to wait - good luck

bluejelly · 15/10/2007 15:28

I was sick from week 1...

artyjoe · 15/10/2007 15:32

I just keep thinking it's ridiculous to even consider being nauseous if due to pg only 6 days after possible conception...according to a pregnancy calender I don't even ovulate until today, but then I do have odd periods 28 one month 30 the next, so who knows...and I was led to believe for 12 yeras that I could never had kids and didn't ovoulate, so I must ovulate at a strange time of the month.

Anyway, don't know what to think now...but definite nausea this morning and a few waves this afternoon.

What to do! :-)

Best to just wait and see. I've had those waves of nausea recently but turned out to be a big going round. Really is best to just wait imo, could be pg, could be something totally different

I def had an inkling I was pg a week after sex. It took 18 months to conceive DS and this was our first time of unprotected sex since he was born, so I would not have expected it to happen, but definitely felt odd, a bit sick, very tired and just not quite right.

Turns out it is twins and I am now 24 weeks. Good luck!

As stupid as this sounds, I was in a shop talking to the shopkeeper about my dds, he asked me if i was planning anymore and right on cue i had a wave of sickness go through me. I thought i was gonna throw up right there on the shop floor. First thing i did was go and get a pg test, bfn, tried again every 2 days until 3 and a half weeks on 1 got a bfp. Had my scan a week and a half later and was measured at 5 weeks, so i had my first wave of sickness the day after conception! Ds is now 4 years old

i definately knew something was up a week after i concieved. Had extreme period like pains about 3 days after the 'deed' (read afterwards about implantation pains)and then felt nauseous and tired about a week after. Your body goes through huge changes in those first few days / weeks so it wouldnt be that wierd or unusual imo.

fingers crossed!

Thanks for all your messages and congratulations to Egg on your forthcoming twins!

Dirtiegertie; odd that you should say that as tonight I've been getting quite significant twinges so thought actually I must now be ovulating so can't poss be pg...maybe it's implantation!

I don't know - argh!

I go on holiday on 24th which is a full 6 days before I'm due a period so I'll test then and see if I get a reading but I'm assuming even then it will be too early to take a reading...don't want to go on holiday and drink to later find out I'm pg...then again, have had disastrous holidays for 3 years now (every one we've had to come home early due to ill health) so maybe I'll have 2 glasses a night if I get a BFN just to be on the safe side...would normally have a 'good' few when on hols but better safe than sorry :-) obviously if I get a BFP I'll vomit on the plane all the way, stick to water, and be the happiest person in Tunisia :-)

LOL artyjoe. With my DS I didn't get a BFP until I was 6 weeks pg and had done four negative tests before then. Every time I got a negative I had a few drinks to drown my sorrows, plus went to a wedding and drank at least a bottle of red about a week before finding out I was in fact pregnant. Ooops . DS seems fine though, although he is a bit "wilful" so maybe it was the wine...

Whilst ttc DS we were on hols and I had a tiny bit of bleeding when my period wasn't due. I was convinced I must be pg and so abstained from alcohol for the rest of the 10 days of hols. Did a test as soon as we got home, it was negative and then I got my period so I sat sipping water on holiday for nothing. Grrr.

artyjoe · 16/10/2007 13:43

Thanks Egg, I'm going to take that on board and if I get a postiive before I go then water it is, if not, treat as normal for a holiday I think :-)

Hi It is deffinatly not too early, I was feeling sick from day one! I then had severe sickness all the way through and was addmitted to hospital. severe sickness is more common with twins as their is double the pregnancy hormone, mind you I didn't have twins.

artyjoe · 17/10/2007 13:47

Wow, I would have loved to have had twins first time around but for a second I would prefer to have just one...but so long as I am blessed with another pregnancy which leads to a healthy child/ren, then any would be a blessing :-)

Hehe, I said the same. First pg I was kind of hoping for twins, second time I was saying from the start how I would NOT want it to be two. But when we found out it was two we couldn't stop grinning, despite being terrified! Not looking forward to the first few months (or years) tho!

Emmaroos · 07/04/2012 21:29

I have a 4 month old baby and had unprotected sex on Wednesday for the first time since the birth...yesterday evening (Friday) I started having waves of nausea and more nausea today. I tried telling myself it's probably a bug, but to be honest I don't feel I'll, I feel pregnant. All the 'official' sites say it isn't possible to have symptoms so soon, but lots of people on mumsnet have had different experiences. We were assuming it would take a few months as it has both times before, so I'm not sure if I'm hopeful or terrified!! I'll wait it out a week or two and do a test...
