Hello. I’m hoping someone can offer advice or a similar experience. My periods are approx every 25-30 days & have been that way for many many years. All of this year they have fallen into that window. I ovulate regularly as I’ve suffered with ovulation pain for years and I have heavy CM too at the same time. I definitely ovulated this month I remember the deep niggly pain and the CM too. It was around day 9-12 of my cycle. I’m now on day 36 which for me only ever meant one thing. However I’ve done a cheapie supermarket brand yesterday morning & an early response this afternoon & both are negative. For about 5-6 days I’ve had twinges, niggles, pulling pains in my tummy but definitely no AF cramps. Lower back ache but not like PMS back cramps. Nipples are tingling. Appetite is normal. I’m super tired but it is HT & I have 2 children here at home. I am 41. We had sex around the days of ovulation I know that for sure. You’d think I’d recognise if I was pregnant after going through it 3 times. However I do feel “off sorts” am I peri menopausal? Is this me on my menopausal journey Hmm any opinión welcome. I have never in my life of having periods ever had a cycle this long & have never missed a month entirely.

Hi @365daysandcounting it is possible to be pregnant and not test positive for a few days or weeks after your period is due. It may be that your hcg levels are not high enough yet.

It is confusing for you. But it would seem to coincidental that menopause would start Suddenly this particular month. Given you are trying pregnancy seems to more likely culprit to me. I think your hunch is that this is way to long for your period.

I would test again in another few days, if you can hold out! Eeeep fingers crossed for you

Thanks @Bouncytree for replying. It’s just so frustrating. If I am pregnant then it would be a shock but a lovely & much loved one. If AF arrived it wouldn’t be the end of the world also. We aren’t actively trying. I’ve always felt pretty in control when it came to my body and I’ve never experienced this. I know I’ve only ever done pg tests when I’ve been at least a week of more gone (which I’d have thought on CD 36 I would be) but I looked through an old diary earlier from 2006 and I had a negative on day 34 but got the positive on day 38 and pretty similar with DC #2 so maybe the Hcg is just not strong for me until I’m about 6 weeks pregnant. I wished I could find my diary with my TTC from 2009 but I couldn’t find it. Would have been interesting to see if it was similar. Oh the body is a weird & wonderful thing for sure!

How are you getting on @365daysandcounting? It is so frustrating and confusing when you don’t know what’s going on. You don’t know what to think either way. Hope your doing ok.

Hi @Bouncytree thank you for thinking of me. Still zero to report. Another negative yesterday afternoon. I’m knicker checking constantly & my new “symptom” is constipation. It started this afternoon. With trapped wind pains that were quite uncomfortable. I never suffer from constipation. I doubt I’m pregnant. I have no real clear symptoms but I don’t have any AF symptoms either. It’s annoying as I’d love a glass of wine tonight - I think most of the UK are in need of one this evening!! I won’t though as until AF arrives you just don’t know do you? My last period was 5 weeks ago yesterday so surely if I was pg I’d have a positive test by now?? Thanks though for enquiring. Hope you’re keeping well. X

@365daysandcounting the knocker checking phrase made me lol 😆

I would be super confused if this was happening me to!! But from the outside, I really think no news really could be good news. I’ve read stories of people being 2 weeks and even longer for a BFP to show up. Though nothing is ever in the bag till you see the proof.

Would you think about contacting your GP fir advice?

It must be driving you crazy!
