Hello, this is my first proper post on this board.
I have a DD after 8 (count 'em!) rounds of fertility treatment, and we'll be starting again in January. When I conceived DD I did the "super healthy fertility diet" thing, but I'm struggling to remember it all. So far I have:
oily fish and flaxseed (omega 3)
brazil nuts (selenium)
smoothies (vitamins)
green tea (anti-oxidants)
Can't remember anything else. What's the grapefruit for?
Thank you!

Good luck, and welcome to the board
You seem like you are super good with nutrition!!
As far as I know, grapefruit juice can help to increase cervical mucus

You notice how I'm cunningly forgetting to mention the butter and the chocolate croissant.
Things have to work faster this time, we won't have as many chances. Fingers crossed!

oh, good luck with TTC

Hi lulumama,
Hopefully you will be reading me complaining about another dreadful birth next October!
Don't dare to hope really, I went through such a dreadful time with all the BFNs before DD. I keep thinking that I'll be immune to it this time round, but that's a big fat lie.

hi mtm,
welcome! i dont post often as im trying not to think too much about ttc.
however, im seeing a relexologist (another story) and she works closely with a nutritionist (sp). who advises those who are ttc to follow a low gi/gl diet as blood sugar crashes are linked to failure tc.
which makes sense as often people are prescribed metformin (diabetic drug) to help them ttc.
also no caffiene and alcohol(havent yet managed that one).
hope this helps!
good luck and happy ttcing.

I did all the diet stuff when I was ttc (2 mc and then no periods) and as a lymph drainage person I have dealt with health and diets for years. However one day I just thought bollocks to this I'm going to eat whatever I really truly desire and I did and I ate utter shite and I now have a dd. (I also had accupuncture and reflexology) but I really do believe our body knows best even if its a tube of shitey pringles and a box of chocolates!
Anyway good luck!
