Positive vs. Evap Line?

Hi everyone,

Pretty knew to the TTC scene, however have seen some "line eyes" threads before and can 100% confirm my line eyes are awful as I never manage to see them in any photos!

I did a test in a rush before I left this morning (long irregular cycle but near positive OPK stick 11 days ago, with some pelvic twinges at the time) and left it on counter. Have come home about 8 hours later and there is a very faint line. I have taken some photos and the line doesn't show up but will post it anyway.

I should add I am sure it will be an evap line, so there won't be any heartache if anyone confirms this! Certainly wasn't there this morning.

I think I can possibly see the slightest smidge of a line but blue dye tests also arnt the most reliable. I’d try on a FRER test.. 🤞🤞 for you x

Thank you, out of curiosity just found another test from 2 days ago from my bin (dont worry, clean bathroom bin!) and definitely more colour in it but doesn't extend whole way across the window so thinking it must be an evap.

This is my first proper month of TTC, trying to be casual but has clearly turned me into a bin raker... need to start putting them in the kitchen bin to avoid temptation!

Thank you for well wishes x

I’d probably say if it’s a few days old it’s an evap line.. I was exactly same it’s hard not to wish and pray so hard .. sure ul be pregnant soon :) x

You'd probably be 9-10DPO so a barely-there line would make sense if you were pregnant. However, you aren't meant to read the tests after the timeframe. So I would feel quietly hopeful if I were you, but it's impossible to say if your test is a BFP. Fingers crossed for you but I'd definitely recommend retesting in a couple of days time.

Hi @Pollyell, I definitely see something. Test again in two days time using your first morning wee or buy a First Response Early test as they are much clearer. Fingers crossed for you Daffodil

Hey, these tests are notorious for indent lines, I would recommended buying a FRER or another pink dye test and testing again and only looking at it within the time x

Thanks everyone, have ordered some FRER testing kits x

In case anyone has similar situation and reads this in future - BFN on FRER and AF arrived today. Just feeling chuffed that I actually ovulated tbh! But will be avoiding delayed checking of tests in future!
