16 weeks without AF

I’m beginning to despair, it’s been almost 16 weeks since my second lot of surgery for mmc and AF still hasn’t arrived.

To top it off I’ve been diagnosed with an infection in my left tube. I have 4 days left of the antibiotics.

Docs and clinics won’t do anything, not even bloods. I will push for this next week though. Having acupuncture to try relax.

I want to induce a period, I’ve had enough of this bloody limbo. My baby would’ve been due in 6 weeks and I’ve been stuck in this bloody limbo since I found out in May about the mmc. I need closure and the only way to get that is by having my period come back.

What can I try?

I'm so sorry about your mmc and your infection which I hope is now well on its way out.

I don't think you can induce a period but want to say that being stressed can create havoc with your cycle. I can remember going for months without periods in my teens and twenties; they settled down in my thirties after a while (and after a fashion), but the least stress and they stopped. You may be the same.

Talk to your doctor who will be able to reassure you. Sometimes just talking about it and accepting will get things started again.

I'm sorry you've had a rough time. I would recommend mugwort tea. It can be used to induce abortion but also bring on periods xx

I was regularly 25 days before the miscarriage. Supposed to have fertility bloods as it’s my 5th loss (The others were 4/5 weeks) but can’t until AF arrives.

@jessstan1 the doctors just make me feel more anxious and fobbed off.

@MamaMoonbeam sounds like something you would get in Harry Potter. Do you know if it affects hormones as I am conscious of it affecting my bloods.

Hi @TTCROYGBIV afaik it doesn't. I have had it in the past when my period has been a little wobbly and it's been with me in a fortnight xx
