I am sooo happy for her.. can't believe it but it's true . Best mate got married young (21 ) because she was pregnant.. sadly miscarried at 4 months.. but chose the right man (hoorah) .. has had 4 rounds of IVF and gave up 7 years ago... tonight she has told me she has a BFP .. no period for 3 months thought she was heading for early menopause, so went to Gp .. 14 weeks !!!

So happy for them . Anyone else had similar ?

Early scan says all is well .. BEST BIT ?i ? (I saved till last .. TWINS!!) I am so happy for her I want to shout from roof tops .. !!

It so is ... although may have to trade the 'world travel retirement plans ' for the school run and GSCE's ... 🤣.. but neither mind that ONE bit... that was always the consolation price ...

Bailey0703 · 22/10/2020 21:27

According to BF everyone in health care/obstetrics is being 'amazing' .. a bit of a whirlwind.. scans. Scans and more scans.. DH has been allowed in and so excited.. next one is 20 weeks if not needed before ... when they will find out sexes .. (as BF says it haven't waited for 23 years not to know ASAP !) ..

I fell pregnant at 43 with my son, pretty unexpected, was also 14 weeks when I found out
Pregnancy was fab - better than the one I had at 26 , my son is 2 in December and I’ve enjoyed every single minute of it
Congratulations to your friend x

That's a lovely story! I'm 44 with a nearly two year old (and a teen from previous marriage), my dh is 48. We had given up after years of trying together when I suddenly got my BFP. We all think he's truly the best thing ever!

ReefTeeth · 23/10/2020 03:53

Oh I do love a happy story!

Such great news for your BF, and for you Smile
