8DPO- anyone else?

Is anyone else 8 DPO in their two week wait? Hoping to find some buddies to help me hold out taking an early test!

Ugh I’ve woken up to AF :( it’s only our first month trying so I’m not going to get down about it but it’s funny how you get your hopes up. Just worried now as that’s a 30 day cycle with me ovulating on day 21...seems far too late!

Af is here in full force for me too it's only been 9 days since ovulation doesn't seem long enough so have just bought a thermometer to see if I'm actually ovulating, has anyone used them before?

@vicki1990 I haven't used a thermometer but I used ovulation strips and they were really useful actually x

@Sah15 yeah I used them for this cycle and found them really good to use, but I've read the only way to actually tell if you are ovulating is the thermometer so thought I'd give it a go and see if it's just too soon after being on the pill!

@Vicki1990 I’ve been tracking temp which is useful - combined with ovulation tests you can see what’s going on. Would definitely recommend it! I came off the pill in August and thought I ovulated last month but looking at this month’s chart compared to September’s I can see I didn’t last month but did this one. It’s good to be able to see what’s happening!
Thanks @Sah15, will just have to have fingers crossed for next month. Going to look into taking some kind of supplement to lengthen luteal phase as well, have heard B6/Agnus castus (?) is good so will do some research.

I gave in and took a test this morning, I nearly threw it away but there's a super super faint line, could be an evap, so I am going to give it a couple more days 🤞

@Vicki1990 I've been temping since June and I love it - gives me such peace of mind. I also used to doubt the OPKs, thinking I've missed it or that maybe it wasn't really the peak or what if there's another LH surge coming later and I'm silly to assume this one means ovulation etc. Temping means I don't have to worry about those things anymore :) I use a £10 femometer thermometer and only swear by FF for charting, the rest are crap in comparison!

Thank you ladies! I've ordered the femometer one as I've been using the app so good to knows it's a good one! Also ordered folic acid. Thought af had arrived in full force but I'm still spotting, just wish she would come out properly so I can get on to the next cycle!

@sah15 massive Congratulations..... AF is due Thursday, so was going to do a cheapie test today but have started spotting in last half hour so I think I'm out xx I was convinced I was pregnant as I had strong twinges last Thursday 😕

Well AF just showed at gone past 5 pm with no forewarning (neither temp or resting heart rate had dropped). How rude.
