Hi, I wanted a bit of advice if anyone can help.

So bit of background about a year ago my Partner and I conceived by accident and long story short we decided it wasn’t the right time to have a baby. We have now decided we would like to try and start a family. We have tried only for 1month at the moment. Usually most months I get fertile cervical mucus but didn’t notice any in the last month. We had sex every other day as I have an irregular cycle so it’s hard to know when I ovulate. I haven’t fell pregnant.

Do you think maybe I didn’t ovulate this month? Because we had sex 4 times around my fertile window and every other day in the cycle to try and cover all of our bases. I have purchased some ovulation strips for next month to monitor, but just wondered if anyone could offer some advice/ similar experiences.

I also was checked with blood works about 2 and a half years ago for any hormonal issues/pcos issues just in case as my mother suffered with it.

Odds are you probably ovulated just fine. You may just have misjudged when ewcm would appear if you assumed when your ovulation date was. If you're not well hydrated it can also be harder to notice ewcm.

If going forward you think you don't have enough ewcm then I suggest taking 2000mg of primrose oil daily until ovulation - that will sort you out!

Thankyou, I just thought it weird that we had sex very frequently throughout and it didn’t work. I know it’s only month 1 but can’t help but worry if I can’t fall pregnant again after I fell by accident a year before. It doesn’t help that I work in Babywear so it’s a constant reminder 😆
