Did I ovulate?

Thursday (today)

Wednesday the tests got darker but not darker than the control like and I think they were still lighter than the control.

Was expecting an extremely dark line today but it’s very light.

Can the hormone peak and drop that quickly?

OPKs can be very unpredictable, sometimes I've got the timing just right and I see a true positive and other times mine look like yours, which do indicate that you may have had your peak. Also I've had nothing one day and a solid line the next but hey my body is strange. I would suggest keep testing and DTD often around this time. The month I got pregnant with my DD I had no idea I had ovulated because I never even a decent line on the OPK. And yes it is possible for the line to be gone by the next day I've also had that before ( I've spend years using these things 😅)

The surge can be as short as 4 hours so it might be that you missed your peak on Wednesday! If you find you keep missing your peak then I'd suggest temping for peace of mind as it'll confirm when you've ovulated.
