Hi!
Me and husband are planning to try for baby number 2 in December. I’m having my copper coil removed 30/10 in preparation.

Anyone else out there planning to try from December? Are you doing anything in preparation?

Hi! My pill runs out on 8th December and plan to start trying to conceive pretty much straight away. This will be baby number 1 for us. It’s all I can think about at the moment!

I’ve started taking pre-conception vitamins (I’m taking the seven seas ones). Also switched to mainly decaf tea, though not completely.

I also keep wondering if I should stop taking the pill sooner in order to regulate my cycle, but I don’t want to get pregnant before December as ideally I’d like a baby born from September onwards due to the school year/finances and so don’t want to run the risk of conceiving earlier than planned.

My only other thing is that I’d like to get fitter first. Not lose weight, but improve my fitness and core strength etc ready to carry a baby!

How about you? Any last things you want to get sorted or preparation bits?

Hi!
That sounds exciting! I think only you can decide what to do about your pill. But I have the copper coil in even though that has no hormones I’m still getting it removed a month earlier. Only due to hearing so many stories of people conceiving in the first month then miscarrying. So I’ll track ovulation and avoid sex around that period/use a condom. Having copper in I’m already very aware of my cycle so I’m not concerned.

So this week I’ve started taking folic acid and vitamin d. I’ve done a lot of research and these are the only 2 vitamins that have proven to be beneficial to preventing birth defects, plus cheaper to buy separately than the big packs of pregnancy/conception vitamins.

I had my first baby a year ago, had her first birthday recently. Since then I’ve got myself in a much better shape than pre pregnancy so I feel my body is also prepared this time.

This week I’ve ordered some of the one step ovulation and pregnancy tests online, praying TTC goes smoothly.
