Does anyone else struggle with ovulation tests?

Why are they never positive

It does not matter what time of the day. FMU, middle of the day. Every single time I get a faint line.

Am I just not ovulating or am I doing it wrong

I've never had an obvious positive OPK either. I will get a test line almost as dark as the control line but thats it. I must just be missing the peak. The nearest I got to a positive was around 3pm. But when I am at work I cant pack myself off to the loo to test so I dont think I will get the result I'm looking for.
Ive found taking my temperature easier to track, although it only tells you when you have ovulated. If you have regular cycles it may be a good indicator?

I find I only get positives testing later in the day. By some quirk, I seem to surge later than most do. I am a night owl generally though so assume my body is just on a different schedule

By later I mean 7-9pm or so.

I use clear blue advanced digital. It looks out for 2 hormones and works with first morning urine. The cheap strip tests only work for me in the afternoons/evenings most of them are not meant for FMU.

I’m CD14 and all of my tests have a faint control and nothing else and have been for 2 cycles. First few cycles I didn’t use them at all. I’m starting to wonder if there’s something wrong with me

Mine looked like yours but I had been using a different brand. I had to reread the instructions as I wasn't waiting long enough. Like PP I would get negative in the morning (almost no line at all) then a positive at 8pm.
