TTC - how reliable are One Step test?

Hi all,

I’m TTC my first. This is the first month of trying after a horrible molar pregnancy and a miscarriage.

I’m wondering how reliable One Step tests are before a missed period? I’ve read so many mixed reviews on this! So far mine have been negative apart from what I think is an evap line this morning (CD 29 of a 31 day cycle, possibly 11 or 12 DPO).

I’ve just been feeling so sick and dizzy for the past few days and had weird on and off period pain since Saturday. I’ve had other symptoms but it’s not unusual for me, the only thing is the sickness and running to the toilet heaving! I’ve also the smallest hint of pink when I wiped yesterday which I had at a similar time with my molar pregnancy.

Do you guys think I should try another brand or do you think I’m out given the negative tests? I’ve never tested before my period before so it could be that I’m testing early but I’ve been excited since being given the all clear after my molar and couldn’t help myself! Grin

Really sorry for your losses. I use two different tests everytime for peace of mind. IF you're 12DPO tomorrow then a FRER test should definitely pick it up as they can be used upto 6 days before AF arrives.

Thank you! I’m not sure exactly how many days past ovulation I am as I just go off the app I have, but I’m pretty sure I felt the pains around the day it said so actually I could be 9-11 DPO. I had spotting today which I think is about right for implantation but it’s probably just AF!

Fingers crossed she stays away and I can test Star
