How often do you do it?

I know this is quite a personal question, but i am interested to find out how often do you make love to your partner???
I've heard different stories from my friends, from doing it once a month when needed, to every day throughout their relationship...

I've been with my husband for 6 years, i am 33 and he's 43. We are very close, cuddle a lot and have a lovely intimate relationship, however we have been trying to conceive for the last couple of years which has an impact on our sex life... doing it on a schedule isn't great...and to be honest, work and life got busier.. we're both a bit overweight...he feels he's getting older and hasn't got the drive of a 20 year old...so overall there isnt the frequent every other day passion anymore.
We do talk about it a lot...and obviously try to improve this for both reasons - making a baby and having enough intimate moments..but i am not sure if this is normal, that married sex gets like this..or if it's something i should be more concerned about..

It depends, if it’s in relation to TTC then the fertile week is a busy one and it starts to feel very unnatural because if we weren’t TTC we would not be doing it as much in one week.

If we’re talking about not TTC then every couple days or so. I guess it depends on the mood as well, some days we simply can’t be bothered and other days we feel like it. Some days he feels like it and I don’t 🤷🏽‍♀️

It’s actually a tricky question when you’re trying to answer it ha ha x

My DP and I have a similar age gap to you. He still has a pretty high sex drive although when I am fertile mine seems to go into over drive. We have been ttc for over 2 years and nothing has happened yet so I think we might need a bit of help. It can be quite hard to do it as he works nights and I have 2 teenagers from a previous relationship so not as easy as it used to be :D
We are a bit all or nothing. Sometimes we go weeks without anything then we have a weekend to ourselves and spend it in bed.

When we've conceived, it's been the months where we had sex every other day from the day my period ended. I'm quite lucky in a sense to have really painful ovulation so I generally know when I'm ovulating. We stop having sex two days after the pain ends.

When we are a bit more relaxed about it, we just have sex around ovulation but I've never conceived on those months.

@BillyAndTheSillies - hey is it the sperm meets egg plan you follow? I have only ever followed that once this year and I did conceive but it ended in a early loss around the time I’d be due my period I started to bleed. So a chemical pregnancy.

I found it exhausting but I do wonder if it helped me catch x

My consultant recommends every 2-3 days for optimum sperm quality. Daily can be too much as the sperm won't have had time to mature enough

Thanks ladies, that's really interesting to read. Agree on the point that sometimes we both feel like it very often, and sometimes we go weeks without it. Obviously still focusing on TTC as much as we can.
Most of the time now i actually have higher sex drive than my husband, but it could be related to the fact he's feeling 'pressured to deliver'...
I am sure these things comes in waves, and this ttc years will eventually pay off!

When I was on the pill I had no sex drive at all so we weren’t very often. This is my first month off and first month TTC and we’ve dtd at least every other day, and not just because we want to conceive, my sex drive has improved 100% off the pill! I was worried that it would feel like I was having sex it’s cos we had to but it’s not been like that at all, I feel so much closer to my OH too

Not enough! DH has a running schedule but for some reason can't get his head around a sex schedule. We don't have sex on running days (4 times a week) because it effects his performance eyeroll. Almost missed my fertile window altogether this month and only did it once in the fertile window. He was up for it at 2dpo of course! Fml. We said we'd take it easy to start with and I'm fine with that but he's getting a schedule in January.
