Hi all,

I'm in our 2nd month TTC now. Last month whilst tracking ovulation, it appears I ovulated slightly later than average on cycle day 18..

I'm cycle day 18 today, and have had cramps, negative OPK after negative OPK.. and some
Light, fresh red spotting. Barely anything, and it's actually gone now. But it was like a paper cut amount.. veryyyyy minimal.

I don't know what to think. I am wondering if I missed my peak? We haven't DTD much what so ever this month unfortunately due to work commitments and our evenings clashing with each others work patterns 🙄🤦‍♀️ so not feeling hopeful.
Or could it be that I've not ovulated at all?!

Here is a pic of my tests so far.

😔😔

Frustrating! I tend to miss my peak unless I test twice a day, 9am ish and 7pm ish. Try that next cycle?

I don't rely on OPKs though. BBT and CM tracking is more accurate for me.

Is mid cycle bleeding normal for you?

ShalomToYouJackie · 18/10/2020 08:20

I'm not sure about this month but I think next month you'd be able to see when you ovulated much easier if you took a test at the same time every day and possibly twice a day (once in the morning and once in afternoon) as it's likely you have ovulated, you've just missed it on a test! I'd say 14 and 15 look the strongest in that photo.

I found these OPKs such a pain in the bum and switched to Clear blue digital ovulation tests (which actually put me at ovulating about 3 days earlier than I thought)

tryingfor1 · 18/10/2020 08:34

@Livingmagicallyagain yes I think I've missed my peak. So gutted! 😔🤦‍♀️

I've never ever had mid cycle bleeding before. It was such a tiny amount though. X

@ShalomToYouJackie yes I agree 100% - next time I'm going to test at the same time religiously. It's just so frustrating looking at those tests.

I can see what you mean, 14/15 look strongest in comparison. Last month I ovulated late which is why I wondered if it maybe hasn't happened yet. But I wonder if it did, already.

Really all very odd! Xx

@tryingfor1 About your bright red spotting, could it be injury of some sort? Sometimes, when I, ahem, wax or shave there, sometimes I get a small irritation or cut. It's easy to be confused by something like that when you wipe.

tryingfor1 · 18/10/2020 08:47

@eloiseislost I did wonder that at first, but can't seem to see anything that would be causing it BlushHmm so really confused.

It's definitely coming from 'down there' as when I wiped and saw it the first time, I wiped again and it was there although a little lighter and less of it. It's completely gone today!

I have such strange stomach ache today, too. Not down low or to a particular side. It's just going across my stomach in dull waves.

Have you DTD this cycle? Is there any chance it could be implantation bleeding?

ovu1 · 18/10/2020 19:29

@ShalomToYouJackie
No we haven't, our work schedules are really out of sync this cycle so it's hard to get the time..
On 15th October, we were just fumbling around, OH ejaculated outside of me, but we still had sex afterwards so that's the only time that I could have came into contact with sperm.

So sorry for the cringey TMI! 😆

ovu1 · 18/10/2020 20:15

Apologies for the name change, my MN app froze and wouldn't let me post so had to change :)

Just to add, the bleeding literally only lasted 2/3 times when I wiped. It was really minimal, nothing today! Just dull across-stomach cramps / waves of dull pain.

Not sure what's going on ☹️🤷‍♀️
