Just curious to see if you had to dtd around ovulation to be sure to conceive

Yes of course you can, because you can never be 100% sure when you're doing to ovulate and sperm survives a couple of days .

You can never be sure when you will ovulate, and while I think the egg lasts somewhere between 24-48 hours sperm lives for much longer. Sperm on average I think lasts for roughly 72 hours, but can live for up to 5 days.

When I did the maths, my DS was conceived on a day when there definitely should not have been an egg anywhere.
