Can you conceive 1 day after AF ?

DTD one day after AF, still some pink blood when I wiped. Is it possible to actually conceive a day after AF? Ovulation is likely due 31st October.

@eloise21 im pretty sure its a no. Sperm can only survive for about 5 days inside the uterus so if your trying to get pregnant then you are best trying around the time of your ovulation.

No, you can’t conceive 14 days before you ovulate. Sperm simply can’t hang around and wait that long.

She said aftet AF, nit one day one.

It honestly depends on your cycle length. If you have short cycles and long periods say. But since you expect ov on 31st oct, i guess you dont have short cycles.

ArnieLinson · 17/10/2020 13:06

Cycled day 1 is day one of period.
If period lasts 5 days, and you dtd on day 6, and you have a 28 day cycle, thats a long time before ovulation. So unlikely.

But depends on what day in your cycle everything fell on.

It was cycle day 5! X

I think it's unlikely unless you ovulated really early

PrimeraVez · 17/10/2020 18:51

She said ovulation is expected 31st October. That’s 14 days away. So unless I’m missing something, and assuming she doesn’t ovulate really early, it’s pretty much impossible for her to conceive now?

That's correct unless her body had a really weird biological reaction meaning she'd ovulate now for some reason it would be impossible - I think on a normal 28 days regular cycle your best starting on day 9 up until day 17 (incase it's released early) and sperm lasts for 5 days I believe.
