Can feel AF and its getting me down

Currently ttc and thought this month was the month!
AF is due today and I can feel it coming... I know you're not out until it arrives but I can just tell and can't help but feel a bit disheartened.

I have clocked a lot of hours symptom spotting and Googling this month.

Has anyone got any positive stories to share, maybe a bfp after thinking they were out?

If it helps I always felt like my period was coming, until about 6 weeks pregnant. Cramps and that weird "blobby" feeling. I really hope it's your month

Bettina500 · 16/10/2020 17:03

I didn't test until a week late with my first as I constantly felt like AF was about to arrive.
I had bad period cramps with my third.
You're not out until it arrives. Good luck!

But pregnancy does feel like period coming... just hold on in there

RABO · 16/10/2020 20:06

Thank you all :) until AF arrives I'm still a little hopeful 🤞🏻

I do think I need to stop symptom spotting and relax about it all... Maybe easier said than done haha

I thought exactly this the month I WAS pregnant! We were on our honeymoon and I was a bit grumpy because I ‘knew’ it was all over. NOPE, it was baby nestling in!

Hoping for the best for you 🙂

beckyBP · 16/10/2020 22:24

Hey @RABO I feel exactly the same. AF not due until Monday but honestly feels like it could be here any minute.

Like you I'm trying to remain hopeful 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

RABO · 17/10/2020 14:25

@MegRo congrats! On your honeymoon too is a lovely combo
@BeckyBP fingers crossed this is the month! 🤞🏻

Thanks for taking the time to stop and comment everyone :) I've cheered up a bit today, got some spotting today which is normal before AF but I'm being optimistic for next month! 😊

@RABO Keep positive! You’re not out until AF actually shows so will keep my fingers crossed for you! I’ve been in the same boat every single month so getting a bit fed up now Grin

Can anyone help with a similar question? I always get a pressure type feeling right at my lady bits whenever AF is going to start, like the tap is bursting open any minute now (TMI sorry!!) Would this be likely to not happen the month I get a BFP? Because it’s happening now again so should I effectively give up on this month?

beckyBP · 17/10/2020 21:17

@AmesK I totally get what you mean. I've got that feeling now. Not actually due AF until Monday but feels like it could come any minute

AmesK · 18/10/2020 11:33

@beckyBP Bless you! It’s a horrible feeling isn’t it! Hoping your BFP is on the way though!
I’m just annoyed that I have to deal with feeling crap a whole week before the witch even arrives. Very cruel :(

beckyBP · 18/10/2020 11:42

Same @AmesK do you find though, I didn't notice the cramps started so early until I started TTC. You take so much more notice of your body xx

AmesK · 18/10/2020 12:19

@beckyBP You’re so right!! I hadn’t actually thought of this until you mentioned it but you’ve hit the nail on the head! Never gave any ‘symptoms’ a thought outside AF until this whole process started. It’s very consuming though isn’t it? It’ll always be at the back of my mind, even at work and a tiny niggle will start a bloody siren in my brain. Exhausting ConfusedSmile

beckyBP · 19/10/2020 10:45

@AmesK it really is isn't it! I wish we just new as soon as implantation happened!

Not my month. AF has arrived!! 😩 good luck doll xx

AmesK · 20/10/2020 09:10

@beckyBP Aww bless you Hun! Look after yourself and make sure you get yourself some treats!

I’ll be joining you very shortly, the cramps have amped up today and got the exact pre AF feeling I always have so just a matter of waiting for the witch to rear her ugly head. I’ve started on the comfort food already 😂 Xxx
