I’m on cycle 4 now ttc my first, I’ve noticed that I only ever get cramps during my luteal phase (maybe a day or 2 on my period) but the cramps during my LP are literally daily. I also get pinching pain on my left hand side only during my LP as well, but obviously this means nothing in terms of BFP. What could be causing these pains?? I’ve tried searching online but the only result that keeps coming up is implantation pains but that’s obviously not the case for me

I get this! Curious to see what people will reply here. I have some ideas but don't want to spread misinformation.

@AnonymousXXIX I just did another search online and found a thread where someone was experiencing the same and it was apparently fibroids?? I had an ultrasound scan in June and it was clear so hoping it’s not that, I came off my pill in July though so I guess anything could have ‘developed’ since then

Yeah so I am thinking cysts or fibroids; scan end of the month so that should confirm whether I am just scaring people by saying that or not!

Hi @Nam095
I'm the same as you, I've been getting cramps, and weird sensations below my belly button- but I never get any cramps or PMS during my period (which I'm thankful for, as I know some people get this really badly).
How have you gone about getting tests for this? Did you just approach your gp and say the symptoms you have?
I rang my Gp originally about short LP, but that seems to have extended now- and they told em to come back in November/ December time after it has been 12 months (although I lied a little as I only came off the pill in April- so it's been 7months of trying)

@Blossom428 I first saw my GP about this end of June so it has taken a goooood few months to get to the scan stage. Pains have been worst last three cycles though, and not as bad this cycle as before (what if I finally get a scan and then the cysts have gone?! I mean good, but also omg.)

@Blossom428 @AnonymousXXIX well I complained of pain during sex that I’ve had for a couple of years in February so they sent a referral for an ultrasound but due to a clerical error (standard!) the referral wasn’t sent, so I chased up in June and got a scan booked within a week. So the scan had nothing to do with ttc but when I got my results that it was all clear I said to my GP that I’m going to start ttc and he said that sounds like a good idea because when women get pregnant these kinds of pains disappear. Yeah, would be nice if I could get pregnant though! He said if I’m not pregnant and still get the pains after 3 months then to ring back to refer me to gynae, so I still have to do that actually. My GP is usually quite accommodating for what I request. I’ve had GP’s in the past where they’ve been so difficult so I know having a good GP is definitely not the case for everyone!

I’m only 4dpo today and the cramps are horrendous! Going to get my hot water bottle out

I have this!! Period pains from 1DPO, along with a pain in my side 🥺

Only the last Three cycles. Although I did have it last month and ended up falling pregnant but ended as CP x

Blossom428 · 15/10/2020 19:43

Ohhh I wouldn't say that my pains are really bad like yours seem to be @Nam095
They seem more kinda of just a constant niggley pain, sometimes a sharp stabbing pain, or if I move in a certain way then it sets off a stabbing.
