Hello, first time posting on here Blush

My boyfriend and I have been TTC for 12 months now.
I'm currently 2 days late for my period which is unusual

I did a pregnancy test yesterday afternoon which came back negative
Can anyone help me with understanding, does it matter if you don't use your first wee of the day if you're already late? Or could doing it in the afternoon have affected it?

I don't have any other symptoms other than my boobs look a little bigger, but I'm not sure if that's my imagination as I want to be pregnant. 🙈

Thank you x

Hello and welcome!
Are you tracking ovulation? Do you know when you ovulated and how long your luteal phase usually is?

Hi!! Thank you for getting back to me. I track my fertile days and ovulation days through an app, so I have a good idea of when I ovulate etc. It also calculates when my period is due and I always find it comes on the day my app gives me, apart from this month where it hasn't arrived yet x

Apps generally estimate ovulation and fertile Windows based in averages from previous cycles. If it's accurate for you, then that means that you have a fairly regular cycle, which is good. However, it is not uncommon for ovulation to be delayed one month, and this will inevitably delay your period. If you want to know more about what's happening in your cycle, I suggest you start using OPK and/or taking your BBT.
Having said all that, if your period hasn't come in a couple of days, try testing again. If you ovulated late this month and you have a short luteal phase, maybe it is too soon to test even on the day of your expected period. Best of luck, I hope you get your BFP!
