Conception with PCOS

Hi

I recently had a MC with my first pregnancy and only then found out I had PCOS.
They said one of my ovaries have cysts but the others fine.

I’m just intrigued to know how many of you went on to concieve again with pcos?

Also what’s the difference between PCO and PCOS?

THanks x

I've always had pcos since a young teen, I never had any problems with getting pregnant, although the doctors warned I would have..
Sorry to hear of your loss but hopefully you'll conceive again soon.

Hi @Laurenb2392 I am very sorry for your loss.

I have PCOS too, currently 2nd cycle TTC for #1. My GP said that most women with PCOS go on to conceive naturally, without fertility treatment. I'm sure opinions on this vary. As heartbreaking as your MC must have been for you, a tiny silver lining is that you did ovulate and you did conceive. So it can happen again and I wish you with all my heart a sticky rainbow baby 🌈 🧚🏼‍♀️

On PCO vs PCOS: some women have cysts in their ovaries but not the other PCOS symptoms, such as insulin resistance, unbalanced hormone levels, etc. PCOS is a metabolic condition that also affects the ovaries, whereas PCO is just ovarian cysts, if that makes sense.

I am so sorry to hear about your MC. All the best with TTC

Sorry @eloiseislost we must have replied at same time!

So we did @Pollyell but your answer was much better than mine! Grin

I have pcos and got pregnant after 6 months of trying but just had an early miscarriage ☹️

I didn’t have a my treatment but I do take metformin which regulates my cycles nicely.

I hope we both get lucky next time xxx
