Anyone went to GP recently after a year of TTC?

I'm over a year ttc and think time has come to go to GP. Obviously concerned during Covid how this works. Has anyone went recently/ is there a process to be followed etc?

I went last year before lockdown, they refer you to the fertility clinic at the hospital, for bloods to check your ovulating and sperm sample etc. I think they will do a scan to check the ovaries and womb. They can see how many follicles in the ovaries. When I went they offered a lap and dye, to check tubes and to check womb hasn't got endometriosis, mine did, that was removed then off you go and try. Lap and dye makes you very very fertile. I hope if you get one that does the trick! You may take a little longer with covid but they still have specialist Drs for this type of work so I can't see it stopping

Depending on postcode you might not get referral tll 2 years. Ivf treatments all on hold in my area anyway

Yes I did a few months back
It was a telephone appointment, he ordered cd21 bloods and other bloods such as thyroid and referred me to recurrent miscarriage at the hospital
Came back with low progesterone on the bloods and the hospital gave me a telephone appointment within 5 weeks. They did more bloods and called me in to see their nurse and started me on progesterone with a phone call every 5 weeks

I did about 6 weeks ago. The initial app was over the phone and she arranged a Day 21 blood test to check for ovulation. I also had a blood test to check for rubella immunity, and had to do a self-swab test for chlamydia.

My DH has a referral for a semen analysis but the lab still hasn't reopened to we did that privately.

All results came back pretty ok so they've referred us on, but said it could easily take more than a year.

I had my day 3 and 21 bloods and an ultrasound very quickly this summer after initially calling my GP. The lab cancelled DHs SA and we were about to go privately before we conceived naturally
