Hi all, am new to this thread. I used to be on Mumsnet desperate for answers to my now 13month old Angel who used to be really really hard work. Anyway, I am so ready now to start to try for another and hoping in part for a Boy. I have come off the pill after being on it for 2 months so that I would not get my period during our honeymoon (Did not really work !) and am now trying to figure out WHEN IS THE BEST TIME and the CORRECT time to have sex ?

We are trying not to "try" so that it comes as naturally as possible, but I cannot help myself !

Any advice welcome !

best time to have sex to conceive a boy is when you ovulate .. so you will need to either chart or use OPKs (ovulation predictor kits) ..

lovinit - I have a book which tells you what to do to maximise your chances of conceiving a boy or girl - as I am now pg I won't be needing it anymore so would be happy to let you have it (no charge) - CAT me with your details if you'd like me to post it to you. BTW - don't know if the method worked yet - we're hoping to find out the sex at 19week scan next week!

Lovinit - just to update you, have just had 19 week scan and have been told it looks like we're having a girl! This is what we planned by using the method in the book I mentioned - still happy to send it to you if you'd like me to.

Congratulations ! I am so thrilled for you. I would love the book , but I am in HongKong and so would probably cost too much for you to send !

What is the name of it ? I wonder if I can get it out here (although unlikely !)

I am getting extrememly broody though now !

Hi lovinit - it is called How to Choose the Sex of your Baby by Landrum B Shettles, and David M Rorvik - I got my copy from Amazon.com. I was going to say that I would send it to you anyway ( don't worry about the cost, it's a paperback so not too heavy and I am so thrilled that I would be happy to give someone else the benefit of it) - only thing is, there is a questionnaire in the back which they ask you to send in once you have had the baby to help with further research - this will mean removing some of the pages (although not important ones). If you don't mind this then I will send it to you if you CAT me your details. Obviously if you prefer an 'intact' copy then you could try Amazon

Hi BonyM,

I would love for you to send it. What does CAT stand for ?!
