So ok just curious it took me 18 months to conceive for my first (10 years ago)

I stopped drinking completely but towards the end I did have a couple in the first 2 weeks

I'm on cycle 3 officially TTC although it's been years off contraception and as I'm 38 I'm having tests done as we speak

Just curious to drinking.....does anyone not drink at all? Do you have the odd glass here and there ? I cut it out the tww but Must admit 3 months in and previously trying for 18m it is feeling like it may be a wrong road so was just curious to what others do ?

Do you mean drinking while TTC? I did. I don't drink to excess anyway but I had a few glasses here and there. In fact both times I've found I'm pregnant the week after I've had a couple of glasses of wine with friends

I've only been TTC for 2 months so not much experience. First cycle I cut everything cold turkey, coffee, alcohol, sushi, soft cheeses -like I was already pregnant. That was a nightmare and all I got in the end was a BFN and AF! This month I assume I'm not pregnant until told otherwise! 😂 I'm not much of a drinker anyway, but I'll allow myself a couple of glasses of wine at the weekend and I try to eat healthy for my general well-being and weight, but I eat pretty much anything I want. The thing is, what you eat or drink is not more of a concern than normal until you share a blood supply with a fetus, which doesn't happen until after your missed period anyway, when the placenta forms. It's hard enough to stress about ovulation and timings and temperatures and cervical freakin' mucus!! Let there be wine I say! 🍷

I would drink what I liked (not a heavy drinker but I do like a wine!) from the negative pregnancy test on the day my period was due up until ovulation. If there was a chance I might be preggers I would maybe have one or 2 on a special occasion but generally would avoid. Although DH was away over ovulation in August and we only DTD once 3 days before it so I thought I was safe and had 3 pints of beer a few days before my period was due- turns out I was pregnant after all. With my eldest (an accident) I had a very boozy couple of weekends before I realised I was pregnant- she seems to have survived unscathed.

Yes mean drinking alcohol

Oh ok I don't feel so bad lol as I have caved a couple of times since tww and had a couple of glasses of wine ! Then felt bad like I shouldn't be....

So I googled it and it said not to drink in 2ww. I'm due on in 2 days so I was just wondering what people generally do

I've sadly been TTC for a long time so I guess I feel a bit crappy about doing things right when it hasn't happened yet and it's also bringing back memories for when it took so long with my daughter

Trying not to stress but it's hard
