First GP appointment TTC - what to expect

Hi all.

I've booked an appointment at the GP following a year of TTC - firstly casually and then properly trying.

It's a standard GP phone appointment. Don't know what to expect or what to ask for?

I already have 1 DC, who was conceived after many, many years. I have PCOS.

I had this appointment in January this year. I explained that I have PCOS (had fertility treatment for my first DC too) and that it had been a year and I wanted to be referred to the fertility clinic. I had my bloods repeated (LH, FSH, Progesterone, FBC, TSH and some other bits and bobs) and she printed out the referral form for me there and then and I was to call the clinic with a code they gave me. I was also put back on Metformin like the first time (get there slow release version, kinder on the tummy).

They may well ask that your Partner does a semen analysis before you can be referred to the FC too.
