hey all, quick question. I currently have the contraceptive implant which is due to be replaced in 6months. for 2.5 years I've not had a period which I know is normal but al of a sudden I have come on. Not complaining or anything haha but does this mean the implant is no longer effective or do I need to replace it earlier? thanks

I have had about 5 implants back to back, each time only got periods/heavy spotting in the last 6 months - 1 year. I think as the progesterone levels drop you can bleed more, but it doesn’t mean that the implant is no longer effective...
