Hi all - need some advice over here please from anybody who might have gone through something similar ?
Finished my period on the 2nd Oct (last week Friday), hubby and I had sex that evening. Saturday afternoon felt violently nauseous, and have been feeling super sick ever since then every afternoon around the same time. I am on the contraceptive pill Yasmin Plus however, and we are definitely not trying to get pregnant at all ! I didnt take my pill that Sunday. Due for my period around the 28th and have tender breasts currently and am also currently ovulating. I do suffer from Colitis, a stomach condition (any fellow suffers out there!?) which could also be contributing to the nausea? Also been feeling exhausted but that could be PMS and the thought of coffee makes me feel I'll but I have been on overboard drinking that to get through my nursing exams. What should I do? What should I look out for? Any body else been through this and willing to give me some help and advice? Xxxxx

It would be far too early to be feeling sick. It is most likely not a pregnancy causing this.

CoffeeInAnIV · 10/10/2020 18:25

It's far far too early for any symptoms.

I think we need to run through what urgent means...

Unless you have super short cycles it's unlikely you would have ovulated by the Saturday let alone have a fertilised embryo that had implanted and hormones had increased enough to be showing symptoms. I would imagine the nausea is unrelated.

It is possible (although unlikely if on the pill) that you conceived the previous cycle, but by now that would show up on a pregnancy test.

As others have said, if you are pregnant then it's not as a result of last week's sex. You say you're studying to be a nurse...?

PotteringAlong · 10/10/2020 18:51

You’ve got a virus.

You’re not getting any pregnancy symptoms from having unprotected sex last week. If you’re pregnant it’s from before that.

Maybe lay off the excessive amount of alcohol and see if you feel better after that.

HanRose123 · 10/10/2020 18:57

I don't drink alcohol. Thank you everyone.

Sorry, when you said you had been overboard on the drinking I assumed you meant alcohol. If you mean coffee and you have a stomach condition the same stands - lay off it and you will probably feel better.

HanRose123 · 10/10/2020 19:08

Yes I have done so now for a few days. Thank you everyone.
