False positives?

Hi I posted the other day about lines not getting darker on frer.
Felt reassured by responses but since, I've had a fainter line and also negative on CB digital and also just a cheap one from a pharmacy.
Still haven't come on AF which was due on Monday. No idea when I ovulated but I had some spotting a week ago today that was brown, and lasted less than half an hour. Dr's refusing to do blood tests unless I bleed.
Could all these tests be false positives? Is it a chemical pregnancy!? I'm going out of my mind 😔
First picture is Monday, Tuesday x2 tests and Wednesdays test. Second picture is Wednesdays and Thursdays (yesterday's) test. Any similar stories!?

Also to add, today's test was a quite a bit fainter again than yesterday's.

Hi

It's likely to be a chemical pregnancy. I've had two this year and both times, the faint positives got fainter over time. The first time, AF was a week late and the second time I started bleeding at the usual time.

I know it's very disappointing and there's nothing that makes it feel any better other than knowing that at least we can conceive.

I'm currently 12 dpo and refusing to take a FRER because even if I got a light line, I wouldn't be able to get excited now.

Jessiemay2020 · 09/10/2020 15:33

@bitheby thank you for your reply. Sorry for your losses!
I didn't know whether first response were false positives after not being able to even get a line on the others and a not pregnant on the cb digital.
Maybe hcg didn't rise high enough though?
Everything that's happened makes me feel like I am pregnant what with the spotting a few days before AF was due. If no change my Monday ill be demanding bloods!
Thank you again and good luck for this cycle for you 🤞🤞

FRERs I think are the most sensitive and so most likely to show a line when others don't. Both times I've had lines on FRERs that didn't progress. First time I had positive on an IC and digital weeks too but that went from Pregnant 1-2 to Not Pregnant a week later.

Just wait and see. Obviously no-one has X-ray specs, and you're not out until AF starts.

I had a chemical pregnancy a few years ago and the test for fainter over time, my period came about a week later

However after that I had a similar experience with faint lines- this time it was an ectopic pregnancy. My only symptoms were faint lines and brown spotting. Didn't bleed until I was being treated. Ring the EPAU at your hospital directly. Skip the GP. I went to mine and she pushed on my lower abdomen and said I was fine- she was very wrong

Jessiemay2020 · 09/10/2020 16:21

@OnSilverStars thank you for your reply! I will give them a call although from what I remember with my daughter 5 years ago I needed a referral from my gp! Will give it a shot though, thank you!

I've just had a chemical pregnancy and was in the same position as you last week 🥺 - hope you are okay if things don't turn out as planned ❤️

I had FREF and clear blue digital at 10DPO that were both positive and said 1-2 weeks pregnant. I had the same spotting as you and then I never saw a darker line, sadly they all turned negative and a clear blue said not pregnant the following days - I've never been so hurt/gutted/upset in my life. I truely hope yours become dark and everything is okay! Baby dust to you xx

Jessiemay2020 · 09/10/2020 17:44

@TTCbabyx aww I am sorry 😔💔 irs heartbreaking isn't it.
I have 2 children from a previous relationship and have been ttc for a while so the excitement was there when I started spotting, knew it was implantation. Waited few days and to see positive, was over the moon. I just knew when I took the test the next day and it was no darker something wasn't right. Gripped onto hope it's still a line though! Now it's basically non existant... I didn't know whether they were false positives or my mind was playing tricks on me!
Ive started getting quite a bit of cm today so not sure whether that's a sign I'll bleed soon or what!?
Good luck to you also and sending you baby dust ❤️

It's for sure a positive test 🙌🏼 I relooked after and hopefully it's just a case of you've drank too much and your wee was diluted, so see how the new few days go! If it sadly is a CP, my dr did say you're more fertile over the next 3 months so hopefully we will both get out BFP! Fingers crossed the lines become darker for you xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 09/10/2020 22:26

It could indeed be a chemical and if it is I'm really sorry @Jessiemay2020. If that's the case the testa will keep getting fainter then you'll have a period

HPenthusiast · 10/10/2020 07:38

Hey lovely, this happened to me last month on the days leading up to AF which then arrived on the day it was due. So disheartening after a MMC in August.
However these are my tests from this week so praying we are luckier this month.
Sending lots of love that if this time doesn’t work out next time you will get luckier ♥️

Morning ladies, just an update I started getting pains last night, after an awful night's sleep I started bleeding this morning. So sad. Its hit my partner now. My 2 children are with their dad this weekend so we are off to the beach to have a nice walk ❤️
Do you all think they wasn't false positives and it was chemical? I'm feeling a little more hopeful now as I was adamant my partner wasn't able to have children and we haven't been trying for a year yet so couldn't get tested. As sad as it is, I am hoping it did happen and have some sort of hope it can happen again and, be successful.
Thank you for all of your replies. Good luck to you all ❤️
@HPenthusiast I'm sorry for your losses 💔 but that is amazing news... Good luck!!! 💖

You do look like you've had a textbook chemical pregnancy. I'm sorry for your loss, but as you said it does point towards the fact that you and your partner can conceive. I hope you have a nice walk and it's great that it sounds like you and your partner are supporting each other.

My fingers are crossed for you, hoping you get your sticky bean soon.

HPenthusiast · 10/10/2020 09:01

So sorry to hear this @Jessiemay2020
Take as long as you need to mourn. I found having a good cry really helped. Keeping everything crossed that next time is your proper BFP ♥️

TTCbabyx · 10/10/2020 09:26

@Jessiemay2020 I'm so sorry to hear 💔 hope you both take the time to heal. As I said prev i was in the exact same position last weekend and only today do I truly feel better. Due to having so many positives it's likely to be a chemical, my doctor said it's near impossible to have so many positives and they be false.

I hope you both enjoy your walk and your time will come, like you said it's a good thing you can conceive so hopefully next time ❤️

I read on here that a lady took 2-3MG of folic acid during 2 of her 5 pregnancies and they were both the healthy ones, whilst the other 3 sadly were loses, so I'm going to speak to my dr about increasing my folic acid to see if that helps 🤞🏻

Good luck on your journey xx
