Has anyone ever had this with Clearblue before?

Using the Clearblue advanced ovulation tests. They’re supposed to show an blank circle for low hormones, a flashing smiley for a rise in hormones and a steady smiley for the 48hrs of peak hormones.

What actually happened was a blank circle for a few days and then a steady smiley today: Going straight to peak hormones and missing the rise altogether!

Has anyone ever had this? Is it odd not to have a few days of flashing smileys?

@CatsAndEyeliner hey lovely, I had this exact situation too, last month! I would also love to know if there is a reason for this. X

Yes this is normal and can happen frequently.
The reason why is that the "flashing" smiley is in response to estrogen levels and the "peak" smiley is in response to LH levels if you are using the dual hormone one. The test will register a peak if it detects your LH levels are something like 5x what it was on the previous test you took.

Ok, good to know it’s not just me!

Thanks so much to both of you!
