Disappearing second line - any experience?

I took an internet cheap test. It said to read between 3-5 mins. I did and there was a very faint smudge of a second line. I even took a photo. Then I looked ten mins after taking the test and it had totally disappeared. What does that mean? Does it invalidate the second line?

I've read that after the time window they become invalid, I had positive tests last week that were faint, an hour later they were VERY dark but it ended in a CP so I'd just stick to the 3/5 minute time window ☺️

Happened to me with an internet cheapie and I was indeed pregnant!

I did on a first response at 8dpo. Next day the faint line stuck and now she’s 2.5! Good luck

I had the same with a clear blue. Line disappeared, but I tested again with a longer hold and I got a proper positive that stayed. I assume it was just because it wasn't strong enough. I now have a 18 month old so was def pregnant.

hi OP, this happened to me today - got a picture and then totally disappeared. I dont think I am because I've not had a period yet (11 months post partum and breastfeeding twice a day still) but its confusing none the less!

Hi @cherrybun01, it’s so confusing isn’t it? I turned out not to be pregnant so it was just a weird glitch on the test.
